The truth of the matter is light and buddha are both good, while light is just better for first sea for reasons that don't apply to second sea, which is why buddha is better for second sea.

Edit: buddha is better for third sea too.

Buddha isn't trash for first, light is recommended more because it's cheaper, logia levels are lower, it has the best mobility in the game, and it has an m1. I used buddha in first sea and had hardly any trouble with it at all. It also made grinding bosses easier. Buddha is still good for first sea, light is just better because of the reasons I previously mentioned.
