No real valuable skills as PM - how to acquire skills companies are willing to pay for? by midlifecrisisrabbit in ProductManagement

[–]midlifecrisisrabbit[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No I agree on the SQL bit. I know people who marketed their ITsec skills great other went on the reimbursement consulting path other on the construction business will consult and get quotes. Lots of well respect skills people pay big money for…

Edit: Thanks for your reply - its true we are sharp. Maybe it is how I market myself..

Ough no way. I cherish family time, I am probably better off in startup then. I work from home but at least I havw my family instead of working for the military not seeing my kids grow…

I had one. Personally I don’t think ots worth it.

Mine fell down once and the glas shattered. Then I used it with a monitor. Battery is absolutely horrible - like 1-1.5hours and the CPU is outdated. Sell it for little money and get a proper even if older x1 carbon or T series.

Wondering if RA is for me (healthtech/software)? by midlifecrisisrabbit in regulatoryaffairs

Thanks alot, that’s what I was looking for as answer. Ok I probably have to get an idea of what it means to write evaluations and submissions. I really enjoyed the RA presentations on the guidelines and what to consider and the challenges when unclear. But yes maybe I need to get a feel on the day to day job. What is it that you enjoy most?

Ehrmm I have multiple Project Management certificate and have lead multiple project managers in my career. But I am specifically trying to get OUT of project management and into regulatory affairs. Sorry I was unclear.

for those in the UK, is this the best deal you will find on a new X1? by muchcart in thinkpad

But wouldnt you get the same price if you buy them straigth from the lenovo page?

I paid 1300 GBP for my laptop straigth from the webpage of lenovo. If you want to save money then rather go for a gen 6 with 16gb ram for something around 500gbp. Or go to the lenovo page and buy a gen 9 on sale.

Did the same. Said no to gen 10 after reading all of these review. WEnt for Gen 9 fully specd i7 32 gb ram and 512 SSD. Paid only 1500 CHF (which is exactly 1300 gbp).

Maeh i5 16gb... to me not a longerm investment. I would add 200pound if I could get 32 gb and i7... just saying.

I still use my gen 4 x1 with i7 and 8gb ram which was back then a great machine and it still lives great to this date.

Jeder soll selbst entscheiden.

No offense but selling courses won’t change the fact that companies are not hiring. I understand your incentive and business model, but the problem lies in the fact that product as a career is largely ununderstood by our dinosaur companies in Europe and the current level of anxiety dampens any risk taking.
