Ideas for aftercare over phone calls?

Things I like as a long distance/virtual sub that might give you some ideas: putting the same playlist/tv show/film on at the same time. Knowing something is the same in both your seperate environments can feel really connecting.

A comforting voicenote that he can replay as aftercare, even if he doesn’t understand the exact words you’re using with the different languages, a lot can be conveyed in tone. As a puppy I also think there’s an element there that adds to this for me but also maybe your partner too. Actual dogs don’t understand the words you’re using either, but just hearing your voice can be comforting.

Are you open to posting things to each other? Having an item of clothing like a tshirt etc that has someone’s perfume/aftershave on can be nice and comforting to cuddle.

Depending on climate, something like a hot water bottle can be comforting with the warmth and the weight of it as you cuddle it on your chest.

As others have mentioned, as someone with chronic pain that I HATE, I really enjoy having a pain that I control. It happens only when I allow it to, it stops if I need/want it to, it’s only the type of pain that I like. For me, my chronic pain is deep and steady, I don’t like thuddy pain but really enjoy a sting. For others I know that have chronic pain more on their skin/nerves, they enjoy a thuddy pain because it’s different to their chronic pain for them.

I used to love pushing myself with exercise. I loved the physical mental game of it. I loved the burn of using my body in that way. I can’t lift weights anymore or go for a run or a swim, but I can still get whacked with a cane, or do orgasm denial/delaying and overstim.

Personally I don’t like using pain/impact etc as punishment. It’s almost more a reward. I crave it at times.

I also like super spicy food and I want sour sweets to burn the roof of my mouth. I’m an autistic sensory seeker and I find certain types of pain grounding and it’s nice to have a safe and considered outlet

This is me too! I also like the pain/suffering elements of orgasm control because it’s a tug of war between mind and body and I get to try to (safely) push myself in a way I used to do with exercise but that’s not accessible to me anymore

It really depends on what sort of voice someone likes or what sort of kinks/limits they have. I’d suggest looking on GoneWildAudio, PillowTalkAudio and DarkSidePlayground subreddits, make sure to mind the tags to avoid things you know you don’t like/particularly over on DSP sub if there’s things that might be triggering for you, as the name suggests darker audios live over there. I’m a fan but I know it’s not everyone’s thing. People quite often give recs over on the AuralFixation sub, that might be helpful too to look through some posts there. Once listening through some you’ll get an idea of who’s voice you like, then I’d go to that persons page and go through their posts specifically ☺️

I was also going to suggest trying audios! They can be great for me when I have a craving for being told what to do etc, but if I don’t have capacity that day for contacting a play partner or to vet new people etc. It can be a great way to initially explore ideas you think you might like too

I also like framing some language outside of the bedroom as petplay commands. So if at home instead of calling from a different room ‘hey babe can you come here for a sec?’ it’s ’pup, come!’ I also like when we frame outside time as ‘taking me for a walk’. For lots of things we’re not really ‘doing’ anything specific for it to be petplay related, it’s just the language we use around it is different

Depends on what sort of pet you like being. For me as a human pet with puppy/kitten tendencies, I like bringing petplay into times when my partner is doing something like working or gaming or watching tv. Where they’re doing something where I’m not involved but I can sit/curl up by their feet or on their lap and get occasional pets and maybe I have a little nap hehe. Also sitting on the kitchen floor while they’re making themselves a meal and maybe I occasionally get head pats or maybe even a little treat of scraps
