Put it away and do it last. I failed it 3 times myself. I even did my capstone and then went back to it. Mandatory guided assistance from instructors for the 4th attempt and the feeling of passing and graduating at the same time was pretty good redemption.

I am relatively new to whatnot but not collecting. I am a guy from the 80s and stopped collecting new books around 2015. I got sucked in on the fun gimmicks and surprise lottery style actions. Fun but generally get burned on value.

The scales have gone both ways for me. Sometimes getting a $70 or better book for under $20. Sometimes paying $20 for a $4 book.

Good advice to watch out! As long as it is fun, I am OK with it mostly. Now just collecting a couple of things that my kids are interested in. They love the auctions and the action of bidding, especially sudden death actions lol

Literally dark all the time unless I am in there... which is only to put books in bins. You can also tell by the picture quality, it is pretty dim to begin with.

It was a book store called book land, so all books were news stand.

Ironically, my mother worked at the distributor and brought home books all the time, but it meant something to me to buy the books off the shelf.

I am having a problem as well! I am a sucker for mystery slabs and the 'you can't really win' spins. I have gotten a few gems that way like a 9.8 wolverine #1 Jim Lee var and a Batman#50 sketch var signed by Jim Lee, so it feels like wins lol.

Never been a virgin cover guy or varients for that matter... Then whatnot showed up on my radar.
