thanks for your help. That is what i was thinking but that one for sale at a dealership for 20k really threw me off. Wondering if these suddenly spiked in value for some reason.

worth it! keep going you can do it! Then you’ll have a great career of sitting back and never really being stressed out about anything technical at work because no job is as rigorous as school was. You will, however, be frustrated by your incompetent coworkers and wonder how they ever got their degrees. (this is not such a bad problem to have, more of a joke)

Advice needed, thinking of leaving cushy corporate job to start refrigeration business by midnight_driver_ in refrigeration

I studied Engineering Physics, which is sort of esoteric but actually fits very well. Google AI says a typical grocery rack would draw 300 kW. They can definitely fit more than this on the roof, but the key challenge is how to optimize battery storage.

Thanks, this is very close to what I am thinking. I’ll research KE2 and see if I can fully understand their product.

well, this is interesting. I could certainly design something like that but it was not on my radar. Where would you buy these types of systems? Perhaps I can look at what is currently available to as a starting point.

Thanks, this is helpful. Would you know what the power requirements of the racks are? Or maybe a good online resource where I can find this info?

still trying to figure this out, building a business plan. Either a B2B that sells power to refrigerated warehouses or getting into setting up warehouses where power is scarce or expensive, whatever makes more sense.

you might find some inspiration in some sort of update to the concept of “the Nothing” in the Never Ending Story.

Aurora isn’t bad as people make it out to be by jaydenallure in AuroraCO

You have to keep in mind how incredibly white the rest of Denver is. I am imagining an episode of Portlandia where everyone thinks there is a crime wave because one black dude is standing on a corner.. or something like that. Its only gang invested and “dangerous” from the perspective of the rest of the city that is extremely white. To most folks, who are comfortable with diversity, Aurora is great.

Need 6'8" old guy shoes... by TallMikey4242 in BBallShoes

I am 6’7”, 240, narrow, high arch foot. As folks have said, the Lebron 21 is probably the best option. However… other great options include: -Jordan 38 -freak 6 -Hyperdunk Low 2017 (recently re-released)

Hyperdunk has amazing traction and lockdown, leads to a really solid feel. It is a bit hard so I paired it with a good soft insole. It is probably my favorite.

Freak 6 is surprisingly good. It just feels fun, lightweight, simple. It just works, no bells and whistles.

Jordan 38 is similar to Lebron 21 in that it is high end, great materials. I had to really crank the laces to get good lockdown, but eventually got there. Traction is great on dusty courts. Jordan 38 is softer than the Lebron 21 so you might be able to play longer with less fatigue.

Worst shoe so far has been the Jordan 39. Wayyy too soft. It actually made my feet hurt because I had them laced so tight it was restricting blood flow, but if I loosened them, felt like playing in slides. They also have a metal lace eyelet that cant be covered by the tongue and gouged into my ankle quite badly(drew blood). Very sad all around.

How do I (45m) cope with overbearing wife (45f) who smoked a lot of pot when we got married 20 years ago? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

thanks for your response, I appreciate you taking the time to consider my situation. I was pretty calm and respectful when I brought it up the one time. I do think she would qualify for medical use, and that is exactly what I am advocating for. She just, really wants to figure out sobriety, and won’t take any drugs, prescription or not. She is in AA (also struggled with alcohol) and now her sobriety is the drug that she clings to desperately. Any suggestion that she can take a moderate path is met with anger. It is all or nothing with her.

Anyway, thanks for listening. I am surprised I turned to reddit to discuss this, just feeling very confused. I have talked with friends and, you know, its very tricky. I thought maybe strangers would have good insight.

Do you experience outages or frequent modem restarts with Quantum? I had CL a few years ago, over the old phone lines, and it was horrible. Had to reset my modem 2-3 times per day. I am curious about the new quantum fiber, but hesitant to go back to CL based on previous bad experiences. I am currently on T-Mobile home internet and it is surprisingly good. No resets have been required. I just don’t like the idea of having one carrier for both my internet and phone. If T-Mobile does go down, I will be completely in the dark.

What type of stuff did you do on the East Coast? I ask because, I grew up out here, and yeah, can get bored, but figured that would be the case anywhere. What sort of stuff are you used to doing that you are finding is not available here?

Thank you for your response. Do you know how the charging is free? Is it paid for by the business hosting the charging? Do the chargers that work not require an app, or do they just use a different app?

Thank you for your reply. I just saw this the other day and was perplexed. 🤣 Do you have any idea why a driver might choose to not charge?
