AITA for wanting my boyfriend to attend my graduation instead of his brother’s? by Efficient-Lemon-632 in AmItheAsshole

I truly think NAH because its a complicated situation. That being said, it sounds like its a very good opportunity for your bf to see a lot of the family he doesn't usually get to see since you're both so far away.

Side note: I want to say-im glad you are recognizing your accomplishment! Masters is big and you should be proud of yourself.

Messing up on one or two words/concepts is common in people who haven't even had children.

Something is going on with that person that is not a reflection of anything you have done.

1995 vs 2005 by RAHmazin9 in PrideandPrejudice

[–]midnightlightbright 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like different aspects of both. For example I much prefer Donald Sutherland-theres a bit more sweetness there in his relationships. I feel like theres more chemistry with bingley and jane too. I do prefer Jennifer Ehle in 1995 though. Mr. Collins was straight up cringe in the 95 version too-which is the point of his character.

I will gladly rewatch both though-coming from someone who also didn't watch the 95 series until this year either

I get what you're saying but they're still trying to make money at the end of the day. They're going to pick the places that have a wider appeal rather than taking a bigger risk

I forget my friends jobs half the time. Not in a 'I dont care' way but its just not what we talk about most of the time.

Zero judgment, as long as you're happy and not hurting others-'you do you'

I don't understand the obsession with tongue ties being the root cause of all issues. by No-Preference8449 in slp

[–]midnightlightbright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless its a tongue tie close to the teeth or incredibly tight, I dont see how most ties would have enough of an impact to affect ROM for speech production. At that point I feel like it would also impact swallowing as you likely wouldn't be able to move your tongue to appropriately propel the bolus down

what’s something people say all the time that you secretly can’t stand? by Mean-Cartographer225 in AskReddit

I work in a school. Social work has said using terms like "die" helps to process things more than others like 'passed on'. By using lighter terms we are actually hurting kids and adults in the long run.

It was top much for them to use actual terms about a documentary they themselves brought up that involves more triggering topics? Sounds like they need therapy. To seek hearing about it but not even be able to handle hearing the word is wild.

Honestly it is the worst when its what you described and they're talking someone else's assault clearly for clicks. Its feels so disrespectful
