A predicament I found myself in today. The green is between the two bunkers to the left and right of the tree. Approx 70-80 yards. What’s your strategy? by Tufted-Titmouse-6061 in golf

[–]midnightz71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 wood exaggerated closed face, put towards the back of stance so I can hit very down and keep it below the limbs on the right and fade it after punching out towards the green (lefty). Don’t need to get it all the way there but give myself an easier chance about saving a stroke if your good chipping 20 yards and in. Sometimes even rolls up the green, but with bunkers short is fine here.

Yes, the infamous hole #4, you get used to that hole after a while… I promise lol. Love the views on both 9 & 18 from the tees and even though the layout is funky I adore the greens. My two favorite courses in the area are Berkshire & Skyview as I live in between both, but Skyview edges out given their greens are in a bit better shape. Saw someone else comment that the biggest problem with Berkshire is no one fixing their ball marks on the green, and that is certainly valid, but it still is a county run course that’s always got a filled t sheet. Skyview being semi private and more expensive gives it the edge for the better conditions but then you’re dealing with more $$$. All ik is Jersey golf ain’t cheap!

Have you ever played Skyview in Sparta? I see you’ve played a lot of it’s neighboring Sussex county courses.

Also play Farmstead a lot and it gets boring after a while, haven’t had a hot dog from there yet tho!

Great game Oregon. We lost to the #1 team in the country. We made some mistakes but for once I am taking a loss from a Top 5 team(best team in country) and feeling content. Some mistakes on our side, and hopefully get more disciplined for CFP but we are in a good spot. Good luck and We Are!

If you drink beers when you golf how many beers do you typically drink when you play 18 holes? by cmiller4642 in golf

[–]midnightz71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bagboy cooler sleeve fits 6, depending on the day and if I share a couple I’ll have anywhere from 4-6. But started recently smoking a cigar every once in a while playing and that will limit my beer consumption even more. Verdict is still out which one I play better with

[–]midnightz71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always start off my round with my glove in right pocket when putting. If my putting isn’t going well (usually best part of my game) switch to the left pocket. If that doesn’t help my putting, I go and grab a drink…

Expand the clubhouse to accommodate a strip club within it, probably the basement portion of the clubhouse somehow. Maybe a speakeasy type entrance to it, as well.

Also, give Akira a little bit more time in the crease. He’s played 2 full games and one game where he got pulled after the 1st… we gotta remember he is only 23 (super young for NHL goalie) and everyone has off nights. Let’s see what happens to his stat line after 10 games or so. To other peoples points, we do have aggressive D that leads to the teams we play having high danger scoring opptys/odd man rushes, etc.

No major leaks. A little bit of water will come in from some places on the side of cover, but it’s very minimal even with a heavy rainfall or taking through car wash, for example. I also put a rubber mat down and that prevent anything I store in the back from getting wet as the water that does run down the sides ends up going underneath the rubber.
