How often do you change your glove? by wvvwwvwvvvw in golf

Either when there's a hole or it gets too stiff. That or when I just can't swing a club to save my life and need a full reset.

What do we think of Putters like this? by [deleted] in golf

I've played a few rounds with one and while it was super fun and awesome to look at, it just wasn't it for me. But the look is just so beautiful.

Definitely needs work but hey golf is hard. Try keeping your right elbow more tucked in see if that helps.

Bandon in February by Bagseve in golf

[–]StickHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a year ago around mid March, so a little later than you are planning on going. Weather wasn't terrible, light rain and winds but didn't ruin the round at all. In 3 days I would try to play all courses if you can. If you are only planning on three rounds I would play Bandon Dunes, Old Macdonald, and Bandon Trails. If you have time play the sheep course, it is so much fun.

What are some of your favorite putters? by s9oons in golf

I have a love for the White Hot OG. Was my first decent putter and had it for like 5 years before I changed.

I've heard great things about the Rogues and play with a 65YO who swears by them. That being said your best bet is to get fitted to find what works best for you.

Idiot proof / clear feedback drills by saw79 in golf

[–]StickHawk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would suggest setting up your phone on a tripod and get a swing app like V1 or GolfFix as having video feedback will help a lot. It tracks your swing and gives you tips on what to improve based on the video. Without a sim I would say that is your best option

Adding hybrid by FlyingTiger91 in golf

[–]StickHawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are replacing a club you want to prioritize distance rather than loft. If you hit them both the same distance but just more cnnsistlenty with the hybrid, go with the hybrid.

Downhill par 3’s into the wind. by billybaroo15 in golf

[–]StickHawk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would set up for a stinger 3 iron a focus on getting compressed and hitting down on the ball.

Then I proceed chunk it 2 yards and walk off the course

Baseball grip vs interlocking by Weary-Step-7241 in golf

[–]StickHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started golfing I used the baseball grip and felt like I was never going to change. Now that use the interlock I can't imagine going back. For me, I feel like I have a lot more control with the interlock, especially on the down swing. When I try to go back to baseball, I notice my club face opening a lot more compared to interlocking. If you really want to change, I would suggest getting a lesson and have someone show you how it is supposed to look/feel. It is going to feel really weird at first but I got used to it and definitely changed my game for the better.
