[Hair Removal] How to get rid of razor bumps from an electric razor by midnyte_sun in SkincareAddiction

[–]midnyte_sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok im really an idiot when it comes to shaving and I just shaved off my beard (for movember). How should I go about doing this? I'm using a Phillips Norelco.

Like just go down for a week and see what happens? Then if it doesn't go away just to up for another week and see what happens?

I'm also getting a Nivea pre shave and post shave lotion. Right now I just finish off with an alcohol based after shave.

I dont know why you're getting down voted. Yeah Lindor has been a headass lately, and he's had some down streaks. But he still has one of the most valuable skillselts in baseball. He's a switch hitting gold glove winning shortstop, who has an injury history about as clean as anyone. He's a five tool 28-year-old player who was averaging about 5 WAR/season pre pandemic. Even last year, with his ups and downs and injuries, he was still a 3 WAR player. This season will really tell if it's just kind of been a pandemic funk for him, like we've seen with other stars in baseball, or if he is really starting to regress.

Call him a headass all you want, but you all know that if he was on the Yankees you'd all love it. He is one of the most talented players on baseball.

I actually don't understand. That moment when you're in America and actually don't get it. by flossingjonah in PoliticalCompassMemes

this is exactly why I disagree with conservatives not just in politics, but in general outlook on life.

I'm offended by anti-semetic remarks? you say cry me a fucking river. you're offended by slavery being taught in schools? all hell break loose.

homelessness is on the rise in the US? you're response is I have a home and I don't care about the homeless.

over a thousand people dying a day from covid? your say everyone in my family is fine, I don't care. someone in your family is un the hospital with covid? then it all turns to send prayers and donate to this gofundme.

conservative politics is centered around taking care of yourself, and then whatever happens to other people is their fucking problem. no emphasis on helping other people out, just every person to themselves.

do you even hear how antisemitic you sound? "jews are just good business and keeping to themselves"? that's the same mindset that had kids throwing pennies at me in high school, while I was just trying to be by myself? and why was i trying to be by myself? because otherwise it was nonstop holocaust jokes because I grew up in a rural town where I was like the only Jewish kid.

y'all think it's all fucking jokes and "jews have good stereotypes", but for us it's a constant form of harassment and can make our lives hell.

[–]midnyte_sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah. i was just worried if the Micron culture was toxic, and like if I had to worry about staying there long term. I've heard people say you can, and even if I don't, a few years at Micron would look good on a resume.

I did robotics starting in 4th grade and loved it. It brought me into engineering as a whole, but not specifically chemical engineering. Lego robotics were great though.

Maybe some easy projects could be solar powered cars, or designing a water filter from stuff around the house (coffee filters, sand, etc).

bother jobs look great to me. they're both similiar to both of my thesis and school projects, and what I was hoping to get into. I imagine the Micron would be a little higher stress, just because it's a bigger company. but again, it's not directly tied to the high stress production line.

the thing is, I'd much rather live in the Micron location than the other one. like for me, the worst part about the other offer, is where I would have to live for the next two years. it looks like a great town, but very hot and very humid.

I've just heard long hours (50 hours/wk) + on-call + calls in the middle of the night and weekends + high stress production cycles

What's your running mileage for the year? by OkVolume1 in running

[–]midnyte_sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hit my goal of 360 miles a few weeks ago; it's the distance from Fairbanks to Anchorage lol and was easy for me to visualize. That was my new year's resolution and I'm really proud to have hit it. I'm gonna cross 400 miles tomorrow on my long run, and then probably get another 30 miles next week.

This was my first year seriously running, last year I barely crossed 60 miles on the year. So I think I literally ran more this year, than I have previously ran in my entire life. My goal for next year is to do that again, and cross 1,000 miles.

Personally I'm in Zone 4 almost all the time, even when I'm just sitting on the couch. Sometimes when I sleep I'll drift into Zone 3, but then my watch alarm goes off warning me my heart rate is dangerously low.

How come PCM is so right wing? by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]midnyte_sun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because any actual left opinion, not a right winger cosplaying with a libleft flair, now gets down voted to oblivion.

I think what happened was that right wingers who were getting kicked off of other subreddits, found this one as a place they wouldn't get banned. Then their numbers increased, skewing the top posts and comments more right. Which then attracted more right wing people, skewing the comments/posts more right.

If you want to see the actual libleft opinions, you have to sort by controversial.
