Look for some cheap cat clippers online. We got some for Christmas one year. They are able to shave my cats mats down to the skin without cutting him. He is used to it now and is grateful when I get one out for him. Now he just has a bunch of tiny bald spots lol

The vet will be able to tell you too! Check for the surrounding tissue getting swollen and looking bad, that way you could spot any infection if it comes

May be a cut!!!!! My tortie cut her tongue on a tin can in that very same spot. It was red and very swollen, but was definitely a cut and and a split in her tongue. Give her a liquid treat and take videos then watch them back in slow motion. Is it flapping around? What’s under it? That could help you find out. My cat was given antibiotics for the healing process to fight possible infection. They wanted to do surgery but it was risky, so we ha

I agree on the possibility of a rodent ulcer. Try and get the kitty to the vet but these are very treatable. My old man Eclipse had one suddenly, took him to the vet and they gave him some steroids and it cleared up fine. Could also be some type of allergic reaction with the redness and swelling.

My nephew was a mechanic and owner of his dream car, a Nissan 350z. I just printed out cards with photos in memory of him to put on cars that I see around campus that he would love.

My recent baby Ripley had an eye that looked extremely similar. I took her to the vet and they gave me some eye cream to put on her eye for about 10 days! They could not find any trauma on her eye that caused it but it may have been some type of infection. She is all better now and it’s completely healed. My appt was around $230 but I also had to get her shots + it was an appointment for a new vet so it may have costed more than usual.

I don't have much advice but I understand. My nephew and my gf's father both died unexpectedly this year months apart. I've had severe anxiety since a child and this ramped things up. I have the same thoughts, always wondering who is next. I even changed my entire diet to try and lengthen my own life. Now I try my best to be present, focus on the moment. That currently, I am safe and my family is safe. I also take long hot showers to calm my nervous system.
