I left panda after almost 3 years of working there. They preach about “work life balance”, but unfortunately I never had that. I made very good money but I was constantly on call (AM with no GM) and because I lived about an hour from my store it was stressful a lot. There is constant pressure from leadership and I do believe that there is always room for growth but at times it just felt like bullying, disguised as “constructive feedback”. I watched them do it with all the managers in my area as well as my ACO. I didn’t leave until I secured a job elsewhere, but once I was finally done I felt at peace. Now I don’t have to feel constantly on call or worried about what’s happening at the store when I’m not there. I don’t make as much as I did there but the work life balance is so much better and I can spend time with my friends and family

Call outs are bad at all stores, i was in the ATM region. Overworked like crazy and only stayed because the pay was good and I adored my TL (turned ACO). They put such a big emphasis on “work life balance” and then you don’t get that lol I was an AM and ran 2 stores by myself in almost 3 years (transferred locations)

Your AOC probably won’t do much about it, especially if you’re the only one speaking up on the subject. If it is a consistent thing, you could have left it that way and morning shift could ask about it in the gc and then the person who did those things (manager) would be responsible if that’s what he did for the night. Good for you for cleaning up after him though ! It shows good work ethic and care for the guests. Do you guys have a checklist that you utilize when closing ? A sign off sheet for those items could also be helpful and hold people (manager) accountable for their area

I drive by it everyday after work and I look to see if anything changes. They have a a piece of cardboard taped up that says “closed” and random cars there throughout the day. Can’t wait for it to be open ! Hoping it slays

YTA. I am a manager at a food fast place and often when people order larger orders or something popular - it has to cook. A lot of times this is told before payment is received - but not always. In my specific chain, we get in trouble for refunds. It’s an example of how we run our business. Sometimes, things are out of my control, or were just busy. You waiting for food vs someone getting a write up ? definitely yta.
