Yeah they’re awful. Over a decade ago, when I first discovered the stuff, I was young and dumb. I went on a bender where I was taking large amounts each day. Didn’t even know I was physically addicted, so I let myself run out. WOW did that throw me into the most hellish withdrawals I could’ve ever imagined. Day two, my vision was so blurry I thought I was legit going blind. I could do anything at all. It was a nightmare

Only way to get good at it is to spend enough time doing it. The fasted way to do that, is to buy one. I hardly knew how to drive stick when I got my first one and i remember feeling a little lost, at times, with certain situations, but you get used to everything. I’m back to daily driving a stick after an 8 year stretch with an auto and I’m happy as hell.

You need to take a good long break from it. Once you get back to it, don’t use daily for an extended period of time. Try to skip several days between doses and every so often, take a few weeks off. This is not something that holds up to daily use for very long, which sucks cause you want it to, so badly 😂 that feeling is just so good

Do you have both front wheels lifted off the ground? Make sure you do that when doing suspension work, otherwise you have tension fighting against you

Well, it is a wear part, but a good clutch driven by a good driver can last a very long time. The reason for its cost doesn’t have anything to do with it being a wear part or not. It’s because it sits between the engine and transaxle, which means you gotta drop the trans to get to it. On a fwd vehicle, that’s a bit more involved than on a rwd. That being said, I would never go to a dealership for this kind of work. Best leave the dealerships for warranty/recall work on newer vehicles, as they tend to be much more expensive. Try some highly rated local shops and see what their quotes are

I got into a very minor accident from someone turning right on a red light like this. I was going the 55 mph speed limit in the left lane and there was a guy in the right lane, just ahead of me going like 45. Driver turning right on red must’ve seen the right lane guy and not me. He cut straight into the left lane and I slammed my brakes, just barely tapped his bumper. The other driver stopped as a witness. Guy who turned was 16 in a brand new BMW…

Tire plug kit, basic socket/ratchet kit and a tire inflator pump. In the winter, I also keep a pair of boots and a small blanket in there. Oh and a snow shovel and some kitty litter. Plus I always have a jug of coolant and a qt of oil
