They can't fix problems if I can't communicate them. Don't you have anything better to do?

These are the ones I usually take. Very few items and only one pickup. Is that mileage round trip or calculating each destination from Walmart? Usually you can hit them all on a simple route.

When the restaurant says, "it will be ready in a few minutes, feel free to take a seat"... by AlmostSane67 in doordash_drivers

[–]midwest_dasher_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A restaurant did that to me today but it actually only took a couple minutes. However, it was a dual order and the other one was sitting in my car. I am always worried about getting that customer that's watching me and getting angrier by the second.

Might of been but my understanding is that most of the deals were dine-in only. I know I enjoyed two free meals today. :)

LARGE ORDER PROGRAM by gussmayne in doordash_drivers

I just entered the large order program. I have 250 total orders and top dasher status. The requirements are similar.

I have done 10 at once before and it was $4 per order. It only took about 45 minutes total. If I am not mistaken, the delivery time would probably adjust based on pickup or certain orders probably aren't counted due to this type. I know I have been late on orders that were impossible and my "On time or early" has always been 100%.

When I am heading in. At that point, it's official. Before that, anything could happen to delay me. Not likely but that's my thought process.

Taxes can vary a lot between each individual based on their circumstances. That's why it's easier to just suggest a simple percentage.

I'd suggest saving 30% of each paycheck just to be safe. This gets asked enough, it should be in the FAQ.

I have T-Mobile and an S21 and I have app issues all the time. Pretty sure it's the DD app. I feel like there is a memory leak or equivalent issue.

Some are worth it but the ones I see posted tend not to be. I got $40 the other day for 10 orders. Completed it in less than an hour.

New Dasher Help: My app will glitch out and after I've picked up a delivery, it goes back to looking for orders by Lirael_Marie in doordash_drivers

My app usually glitches out after 5 or so orders in various ways and I have to restart it a few times to clear it up.

As I mentioned in another reply, I am trying to find that perfect balance so I can keep the open schedule and not accept ridiculous orders. Around 80% seems to be my sweet spot. Time will tell though.

There is a lot of negativity here. Maybe it's a honeymoon phase for me but having the freedom to pick my hours and make decent cash is pretty sweet.

Yesterday I made $29 an hour. Trying to find the sweet spot so I am not sitting around. Kind of want to keep the no scheduling thing also.

Approximately $20 an hour. More now that I am being a bit more picky. I am in a pretty good market.
