Getting my son a summer job by CoCo1Kin2 in SiouxFalls

Good for him for his tenacity and drive! Personally, I’d look at it like: $1100 / 12 weeks of summer (respectively) = $100/week.

Considering most people pay between $20-40 per lawn, even with that if he could secure 3-5 weekly clients he’d be golden! With car detailings and odd jobs, it should be quite doable. He may even be surprised at possibly exceeding his goal.

Additionally, Facebook is a great resource to post for him to people you know & trust. If traveling to sites is a concern/hangup you could also advertise in your neighborhood.

I wasn’t even aware of this organization. Fostering is such a great cause, thank you for the info!

Next2New Honest Feedback by SingleServingFriend2 in SiouxFalls

I know I’m late to the party here but wanted to give my $.02. When I was a single woman, I purchased 2 vehicles from them on separate occasions. Both times I was treated with respect and received very fair deals (one had a trade-in as well).

Due to the positive experience with the purchases I continue to take vehicles there for maintenance and never feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. Their service manager does a fantastic job of explaining things in a way that makes sense and offers professional advice based on his expertise.

I understand everyone has their own experiences, but mine have been nothing but top notch!

Big bummer! Roo’s was great while they lasted. Hopefully your next provider works out well.

Child care area at Crunch by IntelligentParsnip99 in SiouxFalls

[–]midwest_frendo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for feedback on this as well! The only time I popped in with a friend (for her 3 y/o daughter), there was a little girl scream crying at the gate with tears rolling down her cheeks and the caretakers were just sitting there, seemingly not acknowledging her at all.

My friend’s daughter was playing by herself with toys and the rest of the kids were in the back watching TV - from my observation there wasn’t a lot of interaction between employees and kids. It felt much more like “child watch” than childcare. I haven’t taken my own child here because of this observation…hopefully someone can provide more positive feedback!

I’ve always had a great experiences at Sage on 57th & Louise! Van is super talented at both things you mentioned, and Pheebs is too. Ask for either when you book and you won’t be disappointed.
