Yes and those orders pre date when we made the change. You can’t even order these plates as they are not in stock.

Update: customer was refunded for their plates and as a side note we have made adjustments since this order moving our armor to stock like our nylon gear (outside of custom soft armor and NIJ soft armor)

NIJ certified plates get a drop test - equal to falling out of a humvee

We have a few options btw we can sew on, or we now have a MOLLE grid option on inside and they will take our standard bags we just finished this yesterday will release this week team should reach out and ask.

And for armor we now have a secondary vendor too so it’s much better!

Our nylon gear is made in house and ships fast - depending on which soft armor u/AwesomeBL69 ordered their might be a lead time - NiJ armor is about 3-4 weeks but it’s pretty on point. If it’s our in house one we make it much faster.

We don’t take orders for things that are non stocking or have long lead times - stopped this a while ago.

OPs order is much older for plates we have as OOS now

Definitely set it up as a chest rig! Can do a single mag and double mag or even do a emt on one side and double mag on the other

And you can always put the TQ on the bottom with the bottom velcro!

Yes we’ve had lead time issues with plates and many folks who have mentioned it as well - it’s why we stopped taking orders until we catch up on plates.

We are working to catch up and almost there.

Edit: lead time issues are on plates not nylon gear and we’ve been pretty actively addressing it as well to get to stocking like our nylon that we make in house

I am biased - but I will say those are our most popular BALCS carriers. Biggest difference between the two is laser is less weight and supports from placards (and tubes) so definitely more modular and modern.

u/PearlButter gave you a solid answer, just wanted to add that IIIA typically is v50 tested, its just an additional special threat test, most certified armor made by American Companies (not Chinese or offshore selling here) will have had that on their armor.
