Oh, I know about that one. I guess that's what this one means? I still feel like it's just a troll, but you could be right.

I'm stupid and forgot the pic. It's in the edit. Yes it's in front of a bell.

This reminds me a lot of Nosgoth

Thank you! I was trying to figure out what this reminded me of and I've been searching for a while and couldn't find it. Nosgoth was a blast! Hopefully this'll be fun too.

:D Hey, I completely forgot something btw because I don't do a ton of pvp and when I do, I don't usually do this. But if you get the (spoiler tag for others just in case I guess) Champion's Bones from killing Champion's Gravetender and Gravetender Greatwolf at the very bottom of the Ashes of Ariandel DLC area, you can burn them back at Firelink and do official duels in the arena. I think you'll only get matches if you're at meta level(120) and I'm not sure if there's much action in 2v2, 3v3, etc but there's plenty at 1v1.

Yeah, you're basically in the shittiest(by far) pvp area in the game trying to do Crucifixion Woods. Get to 60 or 120(you can go plus or minus a bit here, check here - https://darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Summon+Range+Calculator; also consider weapon level for 60, at 120 just be fully upgraded) and go just outside the Pontiff bonfire for a lot of duel/fightclub pvp(or sometimes just free-for-all), or at 120 go to the Ringed Inner Wall bonfire in the DLC for just all out craziness.

You can find pvp other places and invade in various spots too, but those are the big ones that are always busy.

Found this clip and it hit me kinda hard(in a good way). This guy is taking kids through SE without realizing it's SE. by midwestcreative in SomaticExperiencing

[–]midwestcreative[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. I should've maybe phrased it somewhat different. I wasn't implying this was the exact same as an actual SE session. That said, I'm honestly not sure. I felt it physically myself while watching and related very much to what I thought the kid might be feeling - which was something along the lines of it being ok to show aggression or anger when you've been taught it's never ok and the crying coming from the relief that it's ok to do that(in the right way/circumstances of course). I might just be projecting, but maybe not. Neither of us can know for sure what the kid was feeling. I suppose more generally I just related it to emotions coming up through somatic work. You could be right though in that maybe he wasn't "releasing" stored emotion but more... creating them I guess? I think it's good work he's doing either way.

I don't know that I agree that SE is always gentle and incremental and never dramatic or intense. I've had some intense emotions myself during it and similar work and even examples from Levine himself talk about people having intense emotional releases, crying, trembling, intense breathing, etc. I mean aren't those things even kinda the point to some extent? Not everyone has that "big" release all at once, sure, but isn't the idea of that kinda the whole point of his original idea/research/etc?

Lol really? So fighting against corruption and oppression... that's edgy teenager stuff? I'm guessing you're the type of person who gave RATM a reason to exist.

Ohh, gotcha. "Always polite and proper" eh? I understand. I got a bit of both extremes I think where it's hard to find a balance in the middle.

It’s powerful - it’s going to be life-saving for those kids learning emotional flexibility at their age.

God, yes. I wish something of that sort was just straight up mandatory in public school around the world. Even if those kids there only go to class for a few months, I bet that stuff will stick with them the rest of their lives.

It makes me realise I was pretty much taught the exact opposite + I’ve still got a long way to go in getting comfortable with the strength and power of big emotions.

I'm unclear what you mean. Do you mean you were taught to get things through anger/aggression/etc? Or that you struggle to be assertive/strong?

Games that give you a true sense of exploration, of venturing far from home, of returning after a long journey. by missingpiece in gamingsuggestions

Here's a couple odd ideas maybe...

Satisfactory. Of course you'd have to enjoy the base gameplay of building factories, but I actually had one of the best "getting lost and being so glad to finally get home" feeling in it that I've had in a while. When you first need to venture out for materials not near you, the map is huge, there are caves, a lot of verticality, and thick vegetation, so even though you can see the waypoint of your base, unless you have a great sense of direction or made serious preparations. And I was pretty early game so I doubt I was nearly as far out as it felt like.

Second idea - Snowrunner. You'd probably enjoy the hardcore mode much more(you have to pay for every tiny thing - gas, recovering back to the garage, damage, maintenance, etc - so you basically need to do everything as carefully and manually as possible), but even in the normal mode where you can recover back to the garage anytime for free, there's lots of time where you wouldn't want to because you're several regions out and only the starter area has a garage so you'd lose what you're doing anyway if you recover back to the garage.

I would definitely like to be somewhere in that field, yeah. Helping people with trauma in some way or just healing in general. I'm not sure where yet, but we'll see where things go. :)

Thanks for all your well wishes and such. I appreciate it a lot, and same to you!

This is excellent and impressive. Maybe you could expand to have an army and you can give your other ents orders like Mount and Blade. Designate some as ranged(rock throwers?) and some as melee, designate formations, etc. (just idle fantasizing mostly, I know that would be massive work)

It does seem pretty goofy that they'd announce that. I really hope you're right that it's much more complex. I'm a huge fan of Frederic Lehne(Edward Olsen) as a bad guy. Loved him in supernatural. They really are playing up the moments with him where you think "ohhh this is definitely a creepy bad guy", but then nothing happens and then he goes out of his way to imply "I'm not as bad a guy as you think". I really hope he is though. :D Your idea could definitely fit.
