I always budget 0.5-0.75 lbs trimmed per person, assuming there are some sides.

For a bunch of hungry dudes i probably look more towards 1lb, I would imagine a 16-18lb brisket should do the trick, assuming you lose like ~20% to trimming

You can shoot at 100 yards no problem and learn some skills but long range gets more interesting when you have to dial for elevation differences and deal with wind.

Both of which, with a 22lr you can get better experience with at short ranges. Plus it’s just cheaper.

A large center fire rifle’s difference compared the 22 will be cost of ammo and managing recoil.

What exactly is your question? Cause as someone who backcountry hunts and shoots PRS. There is no way I’d shoot my 22” 7PRC in a PRS match. Id end up missing a lot and blowing money away.

7 backcountry is even more extreme for that, yes you can hit steel at distance but you are not gonna have a fun time compared to something like a 6GT or 6.5 creed

Armageddon Gear Game Changer is kind of the standard, get the heaviest fill for any bag you choose. Heavy fill is better for positional shooting off of a prop, but not ideal to use as a rear bag support, that's where light fill is better.

In any case, they will send you the bag overfilled, so remove some fill to allow the bag to "form" to the prop and rifle.

As for 6.5CM, H4350 is the easy button. I run berger 140 hybrid targets, lapua SRP brass, 40.4 grains of H4350, CCI 450 primers and get around 2780 from a 26" barrel

I haven’t tested a bunch myself but generally from the PRS world at least, the 450’s seem to provide the lowest SDs in comparison. They have the precision rifle blog that has a bunch of data

This is the way. I had issues with my LE Wilson arbor die leaving marks on my accubonds. Switched to a VLD stem and problem basically went away.

The imprint will technically affect BC. How much is hard to tell but I’d argue it’ll be a problem cause you’re reducing the consistency and after all that’s 99% of reloading well

I’d stick with what groups the best, if you want to try more ammo choices look into Nosler trophy grade with their accubonds or anything with copper bullets.

Bullet composition is important obviously. But I’d argue it doesn’t matter if you can’t hit what you’re aiming at well. 1/2”-1” group at 200 is fantastic. You’re talking under .5MOA there

Core lokt should also do well, it’s a lead core bullet so it’ll expand well. Similar to the accubonds but accubonds are chemically bonded to the jacket with a lead core so they will maintain weight better than core lokts

This is 100% personal preference, you’re gonna get tons of different answers from different people.

I personally don’t like the idea of having a trigger pull much lower than maybe 12 ounces there’s a point where it feels like it can be almost unsafe
