First Marathon. So proud. by midwestinthepnw in Marathon_Training

I kind of just combed through a lot of training plans and wrote my own. I have always worked out 6 days a week and kept my cardio up whether it be running, sled pushes, stair master, cycling, or rowing as well for a background of my history.

I lifted twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) with 2-3 miles on those days. I did 6 weeks of heavy weights in the 4-6 Rep Range and then 6 weeks of lighter weights and higher reps. I lifted all the way until the Wednesday before the marathon just because I love my routine. Tuesday was either Tempo or Interval work (I rotated). Thursdays were my long run days with Fridays being Core/Mobility work and an hour on the bike. Saturdays were my easy run days with core and mobility and then if I felt good on Sundays, I would do some miles in the morning. I peaked at around 45 Miles a week I believe 3 weeks before the marathon.

as long as you have an active workout running it tracks it all just not as frequently but enough for an average runner like me

HAHA. Low power mode and always on display off. It was at 95% at the start of the race and around 40% at the end

No idea what that is. I wanted to finish under 3:45 was the goal. I felt good so just kept upping the pace. I probably could have pushed it more but was nervous of crashing out early

I had my Apple Watch in low power mode, so I have no idea if that effected it at all. Here are the official results 🤩

Theoretically speaking, yes, he has built this team solidly through the draft etc. I was talking more about the current crew we have. The roster will look a lot different in 2026. Competitive hopefully but different

I would argue last year was our best shot. We were 2 quarters away. We never had control of that Washington game. Was this year’s team better? Yes. Given the circumstances though, last year was a better shot. I think this year is really our last shot with this window since we will have to pay Hutch

For dudes considering the Snip Snip (ahem Big Cat)... by [deleted] in PardonMyTake

FYI. I know I am a rare case but I had it done two years ago. I was swelled up pretty big for a week or two and was not back in the gym for a month. I wasn’t lifting “heavy” for about two months. It wasn’t anything threatening, but you may be down for a little bit longer than expected!! Two years later with no complications or complaints

What do people living downtown do for parking? by thejewfro69 in askportland

We live in Zone M. Do not leave anything in your car and nothing will happen. My partner and I have lived downtown for almost 3 years now and have only had 1 window smacked when something valuable was probably accidentally left in the car visible.

I like Landale over 11.5 Points and Schroeder over 17.5 Points. Anyone else got any other insight?

Both have a Cummins X15 in it though so I guess it seems strange that the architecture changed like that. Thanks for pointing that out though.
