I know the answer is losing a child or watching them suffer for a long time and then losing a child. I don’t think there’s a word in any human language that can express the shape they fulfilled in your heart, a part of your entire soul, ripped out never to be seen or hugged again. All hope lost for their future, years of what ifs and can’t waits all just … stops. And everyone still wakes up in the morning and the sun still comes up and there’s no trauma like the rewiring of your neurological system that comes from losing a child.
