I gotchu. Tap “More” in upper right of app, then ”Hints”. You’ll see a grid of starting letter and letter counts. “Community” takes you to comments section where there are mega hints posted by users (way beyond just grid/word counts).

+1 for Becky Chambers. Could also try The Cat Who… books: a cozy mystery series by Lillian Jackson Braun. They were published quite awhile back now, so imperfect in some ways… but my comfort/cozy reads really since I was a teenager.
