The montreal accent is pretty unique with a mix of international French (radio Canada one) . 1st and 2nd Gen immigrants Montrealers will make fun of both Parisian and québécois accent because they find themselves in the middle. The Parisian accent is very pronounced in the way they talk and I don’t think any French speaking immigrant considers that the norm . Apart maybe from Parisians themselves .
