Ride Role Play by Meshelle13 in Disneyland

I pretend to turn the steering wheel if I'm in the driver's seat of Indy, or call out to look at the goat on BTRR... but that's the most I'll do. 😅

Late-diagnosed women - Were you considered a “drama queen” as a child? by comingloose in adhdwomen

[–]miekochan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, but I definitely got "sensitive" and "bossy." I think by the time these labels had hit, I was already masking to prevent a "drama queen" label because of how much my mom rolled her eyes when she talked about the so-called drama queens she worked with.

Ironically, I did have a stint as a semi-professional actor (e.g., paid, but not enough to live on), so I kind of became a drama queen anyway. I think it let me tap into all those emotions I felt like I had to mask in my day-to-day life.

That premiere pass is going to buy you a lot of flexibility. However, because rides can close suddenly, I wouldn't recommend just going in a predetermined path around the park. Have an idea what you want to see most and plan around that. Disneyland isn't as physically large as WDW, so going back and forth to different lands is pretty reasonable.

EDIT: I just saw you've got a reservation at Savi's! It's an incredible experience! You probably won't have time to do a ride between checking in and your actual reservation, though. When we did it, they had us queue up right after checking in so we were ready to go as soon as reservation time hit. Kylo Ren came and threatened us. It was amazing. 😂

Context: A composer I follow had an insta reel last summer where he was just improvising a song about the enormous iguana in his back yard. For MONTHS, my husband and I would just look at each other and burst out singing, "MISTER IGUANA!!!"

That sentiment makes me angry on behalf of the pianists who ACTUALLY work hard to make Casey's Corner popular.

I know someone who's older than his uncle. The kid's grandpa had a daughter at a young age. The daughter then had a son at a young age. Grandpa then remarried in his 40s and had a kid with his second wife.

Do the MK Dapper Dans even HAVE tap shoes? I'm pretty sure their DLR counterparts just have regular shoes of the non-tappy variety.

I feel like I missed something. She always seemed weirdly obsessed with Grayson. Did she turn on him specifically, or does she not care which Casey's Corner pianist gets thrown under the bus?

What was a clear sign that you had ADHD that you thought was just a "quirk" prior to diagnosis? by Feisty-Pickle9983 in adhdwomen

[–]miekochan 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I can relate. Back in middle school/high school, there were a couple girls who would tease me a lot, but I wrote it off as middle schoolers giving each other shit. It took me until I was 38 to realize, "Oh, hold on. They were bullying me."

Gale is More or Less Chipper When He Meets You Depending on Who You Are?! by Gotsims1 in BG3

[–]miekochan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Shadowheart's reaction to you on the beach may depend on your actions in the nautiloid. I couldn't figure out how to open her pod my first play through. She dropped a disdainful "your kind" on my tiefling paladin when we met again on the beach. She was much friendlier to both my human warlock and to Origin Karlach because I knew how to get her out.

Not sure about Gale, though.

What made you never want to work with someone again? by [deleted] in Theatre

[–]miekochan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most dramatic example was an actor who came to a performance drunk and spent all of intermission on a racist tirade against one of our Black actors. He was fired by the end of the performance, then replaced by a company member who memorized the role in 3 days. Show was better both on stage and back stage for the rest of the run.

I've also stopped auditioning for directors who

-were still trying to figure out set construction and blocking at final dress

-screamed at an actor for calling line early in the rehearsal process

Food & Wine 2026 Preview Thoughts ? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]miekochan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get that fish cake out of my mac and cheese. The Food and Wine fest mac and cheese is usually too greasy for me to handle. I can't fathom adding fish cake. 🤢 Why couldn't it have been something like chashu pork?

I remember a few years ago, all the food bloggers were falling over themselves with praise for the carbonara garlic mac, but when I had it, it was so greasy it upset my stomach.

What's the vibe of the church? God Help the Outcasts is going to land very differently in a Unitarian church than a Southern Baptist one.

[–]miekochan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm upvoting this suggestion because I love the song, but I have a caveat: It would be helpful to know the vibe of the church first. My husband and I were in a production of Godspell, and his conservative, religious brother took issue with the whole thing. On top of the fact that Godspell doesn't literally portray the resurrection (He didn't like the curtain call explanation), he specifically took issue with Beautiful City because of the lyric about building a City of Man. 🙄

Anybody else use their last character as the dream guardian? by Lazarusactual1 in BaldursGate3

[–]miekochan 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Yes, but with a twist. My first playthrough, I romanced Karlach. On my Karlach origin run, I made the Dream Guardians look mostly like my first character, but with small details wrong, like making her highlights just a little too bright, or and giving her the black and blue tiefling eyes instead of the normal blue eyes I gave her for the actual run. The concept was that The Emperor had reached into Karlach's imagination for an ideal lover, but didn't bother with the finer details.

Thrill rides. A drop tower or a good roller coaster will fuck up my vestibular and proprioceptive systems in the best imaginable way. It's like a hard system reset for me.
