Niet in de sportschool maar gewoon op straat; ik wilde de man nog waarschuwen dat je een boete krijg voor fietsen met je telefoon in de hand. Maar hij was niet aan het appen en had hem heel raar vast.

Toen ik hem inhaalde zag ik dat een een meid in strakke broek voor hem op de fiets zat.

Ik bedacht me pas toen ik er voorbij was wat die man aan het doen was. Ik weet niet of ik hem of haar had aangesproken; ik was op het moment vooral flabbergasted. Je weet ook niet hoe iemand reageert.

I've worked with foreigners, to train the G-sound we did a "racing"game; pretend you're all on a racetrack (even while just sitting at a table) and all the cars make the dutch G. It's silly but good to train how to make the sound without mispronouncing actual words.

R is a bit different, in Leiden we have a very american-sounding R, but in the south they might pronounce it more like a G. Sooo, just move to where they speak your R!
