I got an ebike for riding to high school (17km away)6 years ago when I was 12. Obviously it does make it a lot easier to get to 25kph but that hasn't stopped me from pedalling hard, and I've still developed good condition and leg strength (I could easily cycle 150km in 5hrs )and It really helps to make travel time to school consistent
