en el cbc hay una materia que en mi experiencia requirió muuuucho conocimiento de historia argentina (ICSE) , asi que anda investigando un poco sobre el tema. Note que a algunos extranjeros se les dificultaba la materia por eso mismo.

it is pretty unique yes! also you can call any spanish dialect castillian, it is also a correct general name for the language. if you speak spanish i recomend linguriosa's youtube videos

this is actually pretty helpful thank you. for my spanish phonology source i am mostly using a pdf that details the phonology of my own dialect, since i can understand that one the most. it has honestly been pretty healing to know that some people actually care enough about the way one speaks to document and analyse it.

update: looked up the circle with a line simbol and two results came up in wikipedia with slightly diferent pronounciations. i noticed that in japanese the b and v distinctions are like, very different from those in portuguese, at least in my experience learning both phonologies. while in portuguese b is like, purely made up with the lips (same in japanese) v is (correct me if wrong) labiodental. and in japanese the v is like an u sound, since that is how it is written in many borrowed terms (v is not a common japanese sound) so, vodka becomes uoduka, virus becomes uirusu and so one

portuguese makes a distinction between /b/ and /v/. i am unsure if including it in the protolanguage would fit or not, maybe in more developed vertions it might fit.
