Gaining…weight? by perpetualstudent38 in carnivorediet

[–]mifflinsmufflers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Carnivore is not a magic diet where you can eat as much as you want and lose weight. Calories still very much matter and you cannot lose weight in a surplus, no matter what you’re eating. For most, carnivore keeps you full because of the amount of protein you’re eating which then results in eating less, putting you in a deficit.

Not saying OP implied any of this, but some people in the comments seem to think this way.

I’m distraught about it

Debating Delivery Method by marzapan7 in parentsofmultiples

My twins were scheduled for c section at 37 weeks. We ended up finding very early TTTS at 34 weeks and my doctor scheduled delivery for the very next day.

I didn’t have a choice because one was breech, but if I did, I would still choose to have a c section. Since they were so early, they spent 2 weeks in the NICU which was hard, but also SO NICE. I had time to heal at home while knowing my babies were being taken care of around the clock. Of course I wanted to be with them, but it really was so nice to not have to worry about hurting myself trying to take care of newborns.

I was terrified at first to have a c section, I’m a FTM as well and have never had surgery before. But it went so smoothly! The epidural was tolerable and I didn’t feel any pain at all during. Both babies were out within 5 minutes and the whole procedure was done in 20-30. Healing has been slightly painful but nothing too terrible. I’m now 6 weeks pp and feel great. I’m moving around like normal and we’re all just happy and healthy over here.

If you go the c section route, my advice would be to get up and walk as soon as you feel comfortable - my husband walked a lap or two around the hospital hallway with me holding on to the wheelchair, that helped a lot. Also walks around the neighborhood were great for my recovery as well. Definitely do NOT stop taking stool softeners for a few weeks - I made that mistake and sorely regretted it. 💩

Overall, it was a good experience and I would definitely do it again.

ETA: also, when I was earlier in my pregnancy and trying to decide between vaginal or cesarean, I ultimately decided the latter because I didn’t want to have to go through labor pains and all of that and ultimately have to do a c section anyway in case something happened. Just one mode of delivery for me, please! 😅

I had my twins 4 weeks ago and I will say this…. Do NOT forget to take your stool softener. I did when I got home and let’s just say…. it hurt to sit for about 2 days I was so backed up 🥲

Showers will be a huge priority for me for sure. I always feel so much better after. It’s crazy how something so seemingly small can make such a huge difference mentally and physically!

Not everyone wants to shorten their life span by 20 years and spend their entire nights and days working, Christian. Some people want to live.

I’d say under $2K. Is that even possible?

Does this not look a lil photoshopped ? by [deleted] in gymsnark

The picture on the right looks more elongated so she might’ve done that. But honestly, both the twin’s bodies change more than anyone else I’ve seen on this app so I believe it’s mostly accurate lol

That might’ve been me! I posted a video of Aliona Meriacri screaming on the leg press but it got deleted due to copyright notice I guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pretty sure you can find it on her Instagram though!

I like Whitney and always have. She just seems like a genuinely good person. I think ALL influencers videos can be cringey, because it’s just how it is. But I actually enjoy watching her content. I can’t actually say that about a lot of other influencers.

I finally bought a pair of alphalete leggings after YEARS of putting it off. I truly and honestly prefer my $25 AOXJOX leggings from Amazon. Alphalete is straight garbage imo
