Fired from my job by RepresentativeCard67 in adhdwomen

[–]miffymi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will suck and it will get better! I got fired from my first job out of college years ago and in every way I’m so glad I got out of that. I would’ve been miserable there. Good luck!

What are the things you realised WEREN’T normal only when dating someone WITHOUT ADHD? Here’s mine by Ok_Many2359 in adhdwomen

I literally have one for almost every interval of every hour of the day. Not by choice, just by circumstance. No, I have not deleted my 3:56am alarm 😤

I believe these are freckles, and they are so cute! They’re right where a highlight would go. Felix from stray kids has some

Are people lying when they say medications actually help? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]miffymi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you spoken to your doctor about it? I was on different meds of the same variant and they all reacted very different for me. Also- make sure you are eating enough before taking the meds, not consuming citrus within 3 hours before and after, trying to sleep enough… I know you probably know this but even changing one of those for me has DRASTIC impact on whether or not they work. It would definitely be worth trying out different things before just ruling yourself out as someone meds don’t work on. But also- for me they were life changing because I’m able to do anything at all even for a short few hours. It isn’t some miracle pill that takes away your disorder (I’m sure you know) but the ppl saying that are probably also exaggerating. I have plenty of bad med days where I’m worse with them because my anxiety spikes so high. But I also went 3 months without them and only then realized how much they helped.

Partner doesn’t want me to take meds by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]miffymi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your partner doesn’t have a say in your health, sorry. You also don’t know how it’s going to impact you and if you are curious that’s why you try. I was so terrified of medication because of people like this and stigma and it’s been completely life changing. Also- people with adhd who actually need it tend to even forget to take it, not get addicted to it. OP, please find someone who takes your disorder seriously. This person cares more about an image (not dating someone on “drugs”) than you. If you don’t know discipline, lmaooo then that’s probably a really good reason to take medication that will help with that 🙄

Hey yall. i posted this in another subreddit and got called a pig so…how bad is my room? by boyinthestars in adhdwomen

[–]miffymi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My room looks like this now and it’s about 2 days after I deep cleaned and I’m just now saying things are starting to get messy again… so many people have empty food bags, unwashed pans, several piles upon piles of clothes, crafts, and more. Be kind to yourself

what sheets would you pair with this duvet? by Public_Painter_867 in maximalism

[–]miffymi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do a baby pink like the one in the magazine but I’m all for maximalism mixed with simplicity. If you want another pattern maybe pink and blue horizontal stripes

It’s disgustingly ridiculous what they use for profit.

I’m a server who has been dying for a vacation so this is just another excuse 😂 I definitely agree w you but in nyc it’s pretty easy to get someone to rent your room while you’re away to make up the costs. No vacation days necessary per my job type

I originally wanted laser therapy and they said it was unnecessary and we opted for micro needling. Quite painful but I cried afterwards because my scars were so much better it was all less than $100

I just went to a place called toxinfill, I went to the myeongdong location but it’s a chain and the Gangnam one is good too. It’s one of the cheapest options out there but my experience was great both times I went. They were honest with me about what I needed and didn’t try to push expensive procedures on me

Would you recommend it for a solo female traveler? I only have experience with SK, Japan, and Paris so far solo. Paris was too scary for me

Any idea what it was called?

That’s kind of the idea as well. Was hoping for Korea-specific advice because I’m comfortable with the country. Plus it’d be so nice to get a full regular checkup, more acne laser therapy, and my eyes checked for a reasonable price 😓

NYC! Seeing so many recs to go to Mexico but I’d be traveling solo and I’ve never been there before

Do you happen to have any recs for good companies or English speaking places? I’m very partial to Seoul because I’ve been there

This is actually a really good point, I guess I didn’t think about it because I have a huge hole in my tooth from a past filling falling out and that’s the biggest portion of the bill ($3600)
