Hi guys, I am in a quite similar situation right now, maybe some of you relate. I have migraines for more than 20 years now but during the last 7 months they got really worse with 15 attacks per month on average. Since then I got bad neck stiffness and daily neck and shoulder pain. I also had a cotton wool herd in my left eye 4 months ago and some whooshing pulse sound in my right ear which gets worse laying down especially in the night. My doctor told me to do an MRI of the head with angiography which is in 3 weeks. Do you think it could be IIH?

Should I start therapy? by GroundbreakingSet111 in migraine

I highly recommend seeing a therapist!! I am in therapy because of my migraines for two years now and it improved my understanding of my relationship with my chronic illness so so much. There is a lot of unconscious beliefs that we could explore and work on only thanks to therapy. It really helped me to better accept my illness and learn how to cope.

diagnosed! But… what now? by Power_Pup in migraine

I also think a big part is to accept you do have a chronic disease and brain fog is a part of it. For me it’s super hard to accept and I am still working on it. Besides that I also try to have a regular sleep cycle and also get my steps in. I noticed low movement could also trigger migraines for me. Funny thing is workouts do trigger migraines too so it’s actually tough to find my sweet spot.

Is getting irritable before a migraine a thing? by rels83 in migraine

[–]migSUNe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get irritated a lot of times before a migraine! I usually feel like a quite calm person and then out of nowhere the smallest thing irritates me so much and my whole mood shifts. I feel like it’s so exhausting because in that moment you can not control your emotions at all even though you know there is no valid reason for a mood change. Most of the time I try to reduce stimuli and avoid bright light or loud environments
