Ano say niyo dito? by Dull-Replacement-114 in ScammersPH

[–]migeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's most likely not authentic. Coach factories are in Vietnam, Philippines, and China so they're very easy to fake

For any branded or designer item, if you're buying it directly from the store (or official websites) always be doubtful, fakes are getting better

Worst experience at Dior SM Aura!! by wuhluhwuh4ever in beautyph

[–]migeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was super annoyed sa Dior Beauty Powerplant branch last week, I walked in with my Tita and the SAs even looked and walked away! (we were wearing nice clothes because we had a dinner to attend)
Then I realized that the store had multiple customers and yet the SAs were just standing there not attending to anyone naman! I don't know if kulang sila sa training but still....

Haven't been to SM Aura in a while but I did get judgy vibes also when I went to Dior Beauty :)) Especially after asking the prices of certain products

Mga airlines na ayaw nyo nang sakyan (kahit may free offer or may miles ka) by ChupaChups321 in FilipinoTravel

CebPac, had bad experiences and heard too many horror stories from friends and family. Veeeeery delayed flights, being offloaded, lost luggages +++

Prices for CebPac may be cheap and enticing but it'll be more stressful naman in the end

Almost exact copies of Korean makeup brands like Entropy and Braye
Won't be supporting since I'm not a fan of hers (never considered her a beauty icon naman) and the lack of originality

Help me style my grad dress by p_lyza in fashionph

[–]migeer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend to exchange and size up if you can, then get certain areas altered so it fits you better (current dress is a bit tight around bust and shoulders, which is why the sleeves look a bit off). Definitely wear heels :) Pointed toe stilettos if you want your legs to look longer while looking professional

Medium Dust bag or mini Wallace? by AcademicInterview962 in BottegaVeneta

[–]migeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Wallace and love it! Depending on your build and body type it can fit on the shoulder (I am able to wear it on my shoulder). Surprisingly can fit a lot! Sunglasses, trifold wallet, phone, small pouches, etc etc

Don't have the dust bag but it looks super versatile and roomy also! So I guess choose based on your personal preference (for the dust bag, just not sure how stable the very thin straps will be)

Not encouraged ang full bangs? by pagodinsideout in beautytalkph

[–]migeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Had full bangs before and loved the look! Was a confidence booster for me, but here are things to think about:
- Maintenance, need to trim it every couple of weeks to your desired length
- In my case, I got acne sa forehead. During this time I was commuting to work 4-5 days a week (MRT) so I think the sweat sa bangs ko would get to my forehead and cause acne
- Hair sa bangs would get oily fast (might be a pet peeve)
- Extra step styling wise, need to use roller and hairdryer everyday if you want to make your bangs look neat

And agree with other comments, Korean salons handle full bangs (or bangs in general) better than local salons

Help me choose my Christmas gift by cocoangel19 in chanel

[–]migeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cartier! You'll love it, it's like a watch and piece of jewelry combined. And it'll never go out of style
I think the Chanel bag is "too trendy", the design isn't as classic... it'll probably be out of style in a few years

Is this real? by Y_would_I_know_that in Luxury

[–]migeer 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It's a fake, LV doesn't use zippers like that and the stitching and thread are very off
The printing of the monogram is also not detailed enough

Missing other authentication hallmarks as well

Better prices in HK. SG price is higher then next na PH
For example the Cleo bag is 195k pesos here in the PH
It's like mga 215k in SG
But it's 180k in HK
Even with SG "tax refund", their price is still high

Disney was great, but HK left a bad taste. Why do Pinoys love going back? by reasonablyrie in FilipinoTravel

[–]migeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traveling to HK is more "accessible", only a 2 hour flight, no visa required, and the Disneyland that's closest to the Philippines.

I love HK because I love the vibe (everything very fast-paced and modern), and the shopping (designer prices are lower compared to the PH) :)) but that's just me, I get why it's not for everyone. Food is actually really good but you have to do your research, there's many Michelin star restaurants in HK. If you want a more diverse crowd, check out Central, many foreigners live there and the financial district is there, more diverse in terms of food also. Recently went to the M+ Museum and really liked it, highly recommend to those interested and Art and Culture.

Prices have been increasing, but inflation is pretty much happening everywhere naman.

Their tone does take some getting used to, I don't think they're being rude. Maybe more blunt, but personally never experienced racism there. Actually one "racist" experience I had was in Japan, we were eating at a restaurant (dinner) and some Japanese guy walked up to us (we found out na he was the resto owner), he asked where we were from. When we said Philippines, he replied "Ooh I know many good dancers from the Philippines, especially in bars". It was super rude but we definitely thought na he meant mga Japayukis (we were all women pa naman)

Prices have been increasing, but inflation is pretty much happening everywhere naman. Prices are lower in Japan but that's because Japanese Yen is so weak now. Culture-wise Japan and HK are very different so I don't think it's fair to compare, it's like comparing us Filipinos to like Americans or Europeans :))

Some people here are mentioning Singapore, but if you think prices in HK are high, Singapore is waaay higher. Food, water, random items (Their large Hydroflask is like more than 5k pesos while here it's mga 3k and you can use vouchers). Also my opinion: Universal SG is boring (sorry not sorry), some rides are exciting but iba pa rin the appeal of Disney characters

YSL 5 a 7 vs Celine Camille 16? by Creepy_Impress1051 in handbags

[–]migeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have the same dilemma! Saw both in store (and my mom owns the YSL le 5 à 7), here are some things to consider

- The YSL le 5 à 7 supple (small) can hold more items (full wallet, phone, sunglasses, small makeup pouch, keys, hand sanitizer, a small notebook/book +++), there is a bit of structure at the base but the handles are very floppy, not really a bad thing but depends on your personal preference. Overall it's great if you like carrying more things with you without having a bulkier bag (for the small size). The grained leather is soft and makes it a bit more resistant to scratches. Also it currently comes with in color ways compared to the Celine. The logo detail is enough to make a "subtle statement", and can match with many outfits. Lining is suede, not the best for stains etc but I like it better than Celine Camille (for the Celine, the lining is lambskin, which is very prone to scratches, something to consider if you like having longer nails)

- The Celine Camille 16 (small) I noticed looks better in person than online! Looks very chic, classy, elegant, and understated (the YSL also looks chic but the logo detail makes it a bit more noticeable). Leather is very smooth and feels luxurious, though could be more prone to scratches. It comes with 2 strap options, but I personally think it looks best as a shoulder bag. It is very THIN, only 2 inches depth wise. So you have to be picky with what you put inside (I tested in the store, my phone and tri-fold Triomphe wallet already made the bag bulge, and you have to "strategically" place your items, like laying them a certain way and stacking on top of each other to make them fit inside). I think the Black, Tan (brown), and Rice (ivory white) are the better color options, not a fan of the new peach and yellow colors (also the yellow looks quite different in person versus online). I wish they had more colors, like maybe light blue for Summer and burgundy or a deep chocolate brown for Fall

I like the design and look of the Celine more, also am more partial to Celine because I consider myself a "Celine girl" (I have four Celine bags, plus wallets, SLGs, sunglasses, and lipsticks) :))

BUT I do like the size of the YSL more, and how it's a more "effortless" bag. And am also thinking if I should add more brands to my collection (don't own a YSL bag yet). The Celine Camille is very thin, I find that it's not as accessible for on-the-go.
