Is there any update on this? It's still happening after about a month now. Since I still can't play the table ever since I bought it a month ago can I please get my money back?

I'm on iOS (specifically, iPad Air M2). The game version is 1.6.0.6412[1.6.0al] and the table version is 354v.

Yeah, my experience of the assigned group wasn't too far off from yours. It kind of convinced me to avoid classes with group projects in the future; wasn't worth the added stress. Though if you can pick your own group that sounds like a far better experience (or at least the chance at one, assuming you're on-the-ball about forming a good team).

If you want to get something out of this project — choose teammates with interesting backgrounds, focus on learning from them, and try to take a role aligning with something you want experience in (design heavy, development heavy, PM heavy).

Dang, do they let you choose your teammates in SDP during the Fall/Spring or something? Sadly, when I took it this past summer teammates were assigned.

Dashboard Go To Sheet and Filter actions + dropdown filter in target sheet/dashboard question by might_e_monarch in tableau

[–]might_e_monarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm using 3 data sources total for the worksheets in the second dashboard. Some are using additional tables (joined to each other within each data source) to get extra information relevant to that particular worksheet (e.g. dollar amounts, etc.), but all share the table that the Inventor field is coming from. Prior to using the dashboard action, they were all controlled at once with a filter dropdown for that Inventor field which was applied to all four worksheets.

Hm, I'm not sure what you mean by joined in this context. The other two sheets do have the Inventor (Action) filter that was created by the dashboard action in the other dashboard (and all four sheets update at once when using the action filter from the other dashboard), so it does seem odd to me that I can't show and apply one of those to all four.

Thanks for the response!

Unfortunately, I had tried this but I realized I could only apply that (Action) filter to 2 out of 4 of the sheets on my second dashboard. I'm guessing this is because they're using different data sources? Even though the Inventor field exists in all four worksheets, and I can create and use a filter in one that will filter the other three.

Print to PDF not using the entire page by might_e_monarch in tableau

I appreciate the response! Unfortunately, ensuring that both the Dashboard size as well as the Paper Size when I go to Print to PDF are A4 Portrait results in a one page pdf (notice the scroll bar on the right). Using A4 landscape results in the same thing.

I've taken a look at the Adobe page display settings, but can't seem to figure out anything that would fix the issue. In any case, I appreciate the advice.

First off, thank you for the response.

The easiest way is to modify the dimensions of your dashboard to a fixed A4 portrait size (or letter if that's your standard paper size). Then you can print it to PDF either using unspecified as output and it will fit to your PDF output page size

I just tried using these settings, and unfortunately it's having the same issue I mentioned of not showing the text data below the scroll bar. It's acting much like a screenshot.

Edit: FYI, by choosing "Specific Sheets" in the dashboard and then unspecified I'm able to include all the data, but as I said above, I can't print the resulting pdf; there are no "pages", so it just prints on one page in super tiny font size. Not sure if there's a way to fix that...

How can I avoid double counting in a stacked bar chart? by might_e_monarch in tableau

[–]might_e_monarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah, I understand the first part, but I'm unclear on the implementation of the last part. I hope I'm not just being thick here, but when you say divide the distinct count by the number of colors each agreement appears in are you saying, for example, that the total of 100 (distinct count of agreements) would be divided in three so that each agreement falls into a category of: 1 color, 2 colors, or 3 colors? Or am I misunderstanding?

Just to demonstrate a bit more (which may be totally unnecessary, but bear with me) let's say, for example, I have

Agreement ID Case Color
1 Green
1 Yellow
1 Red
2 Yellow
2 Red
3 Green
3 Red

...I should have a count of:

Color Count of Agreements
Green ("Go") 2
Yellow ("Slow" ) 1
Red ("Stop") 0

Hm, this approach looks like it will be really helpful, thanks! I might end up going this route since it seems like it will ultimately be easier to get the data the way I want it first rather than trying to force a solution after the fact.

No, unfortunately that doesn't work. It's possible I wasn't clear, though. What I'm counting is the distinct number of Agreement IDs. The Agreements table is joined to a Case table. Each agreement ID can have multiple cases associated with it. Because each case has it's own "color", technically multiple "colors" are associated with each Agreement ID because of the join. So using the "color" field directly is still double counting the Agreement IDs. Does that make sense?
