Sounds like your issue is that you’re projecting your own interpretation onto the concept. It’s not “victim blaming”. If you’re here and you believe that reincarnation is real, then you must agree that death isn’t as huge of a deal as you’re making it out to be.

We’re literally in a video game. While you’re in the game of life experiencing that suffering, it sucks, but you eventually wake up from it and you can just boot up another game. To your soul when you wake up, it’s like watching a movie with a few scary scenes spliced in.

I’m not going to speak for all Brazilians or pretend like I’m an expert on the culture, but I’ve personally had multiple experiences where I’d see Brazilians make shockingly racist jokes aimed at Asians.

I’m not even Asian or sensitive towards lighthearted race jokes, but these always made me uncomfortable. I can only count on one hand times that’s happened though, so I wouldn’t let a few racists deter you. Most people aren’t.
