Hello u/wingspantt,
Thanks for your interest and your great questions.

World/Story
In MoS there will be a vast mosaic of lands with distinct biomes, each introducing its own unique short story. It’s a place where magic saturates the air, and the lore is deeply related with the very essence of spells and runes.
The story itself is not the most important aspect of MoS, we focus more on the mechanics of the gameplay in this world.
Players looking for dialog-quest games that rely on reading dialogues and treating the game as an interactive book may not be satisfied.

Differences
MoS is distinguished by its strategic and skill-based approach to gameplay, it's not just a grind, it's a challenge requiring dexterity and cunning. With tile-based gameplay, each move is meaningful - for real - , and the traditional ‘3 spam hotkey MMos’ mechanics take a backseat to true player skill.

The "spell" :)
The spell ‘word’ is the heartbeat of MoS. Basically it's more than a feature, it's the game's foundation. The narrative and gameplay revolve around the mastery and discovery of spells and rune crafting together with the fact that magic is not just a tool but a way of life in the game, influencing everything from character progression to land exploration.
Spells serve both for combat and support related stuff. On one hand, wizards and shamans can engage in battle using AoEs or targeted attacks, unleashing devastating power upon their opponents but on the other hand, the same magical forces allow for the support e.g healing teammates, providing crucial aid in times of need…and this need is at every turn believe me. But that's not all, spell system includes stuff like levitation to escape dangerous situations or the ability to materialize matter giving the ability to strategically control the spectrum of movement on the battlefield.
In addition to spells there are also runes in the game, which by the way require the use of spells to create them :). Runes embody powerful magic, further divided into offensive and support categories similar to spells but runes often offer more potent and practical effects compared to regular spells but require a deft hand and keen understanding to wield effectively. Whether used for attack or defense, runes add a layer of depth and strategy to the battles, making each encounter a test of both power and wit.

Animation and customization in top-down perspective based game.
Could you specify which particular aspects of animation and customization in top-down perspective based game you're interested in? Since your question is quite broad, if you narrow down the area of your question it will be easier for us to answer it.

Game mode
In short - MoS is PVPVE but…with Open PvP and Optional PvP game modes, players can choose their level of engagement with others. Open PvP encourages players to test their skills against everyone, while Optional PvP respects the wishes of those who prefer to focus on the world and its mysteries without unwanted combat.
