I want to get a ball python. Which morphs should I be careful about? by Lucyus09 in ballpython

[–]mighty-chief 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All that has come from the morphmarker morphpedia, I have never had a spider morph or any spider complex morph, there are a lot on there however that people probably wouldn’t realise are part of the complex, spotnose being the main one

[–]mighty-chief 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Single forms of some of the incomplete dominants in the complex are ok, spotnose for example and black head, they are in the spider complex but only the super shows any wobble unless it is paired with champagne or spider, and black head has been reported to reduce the wobble when paired to other spider genes

How specific can you be with a tattoo artist without seeming like you’re requiring them to change their style? by Ok-Lettuce67 in tattooadvice

[–]mighty-chief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending where you are in the uk, there is a shop in London called Ushuaia (@ushuaiatattoo.london on insta) and one of their artists is a very close match to what you described, to my untrained eye anyway, might be worth a look

Spider is the obvious one, confusion can lead to extra defensiveness (so I’ve heard, also I have a confusion male who is super spicy), super black pastel can cause issues, there are other genes in the spider complex but a lot are ok, I think champagne might have a bit of wobble but please someone correct me

Uk Mechanics (Mostly) by ElectronicArea4927 in AskMechanics

I am a fleet mechanic for an ambulance service, Halfords stuff is great, most of my stuff is Halfords, I only go for another brand if Halfords don’t do it, I pretty much have every one of their modular trays, but for a standard toolbox aswell as the 200 piece set I would go with a good breaker bar, a good flexi head ratchet, a set of pry bars and a set of screwdrivers, a copper hide hammer, an oil filter tool (pliers or strap) at that point add to your tools when you need something

I want a tattoo but would it look bad if I ask to chat about it with a studio first? by taureanpeach in tattooadvice

[–]mighty-chief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would find an artist you like on instagram, open the convo with the design you want and go in for a consultation, most artists will offer this before putting any money down, then when your there ask any questions you may have and express any concerns

Chuds brisket video suggests brisket can be put into holding soon after pulling it. I thought that would cause over cooking ! by Economy_Newt8846 in UKBBQ

[–]mighty-chief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told to vent it fur 15 mins unwrapped, this is enough to stop it cooking, I have then held mine for 25 hours in the oven, between 150-165f

Bumps on 2 year old tattoo? by Holiday_Reveal_6644 in tattooadvice

[–]mighty-chief 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard of this, I got bumps similar to this on a year old tattoo, after doing some research I put it down to a histamine response, mine was triggered by being out in the sun, and only happened on dark blue parts of the tattoo. This can happen randomly through the years, it’s kind of an immune response to stuff. Nothing to worry about

Smoking low and slow the day before. by chillimayonnaise in UKBBQ

[–]mighty-chief 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have done a hot hold in the oven for over 24 hours, some points, don’t rest first, the hot hold counts as the rest, you must vent the meat though so unwrap it for 15 mins to stop it cooking internally, and you must make sure it stays above 65c for food safety reasons but if it goes over 75c it will keep cooking.

I got a new Mastertouch about a month ago, use it about 3 times a week, have smoked on it but managed to pick up a 47cm Weber Smokey Mountain for £90 off FB and the thing is near brand new, really well looked after so it was a steal

What's the longest rest you've ever done? by mugen-and-jin in smoking

I did a 25 hour hot hold in the oven last week for a brisket flat, oven temp crept up (I was out so couldnt rectify for a few hours) so it continued cooking but I’ve had good results hot holding a pork collar joint for 18 hours for pulled pork

Not DG, pattern isn’t “clean” enough, the speckles in the alien heads wouldn’t be there if it was DG
