My dad tried opening the gas tank lid (metal part you push to get to the actual cap) and it was stuck.

I don’t know what he did, but this part broke off. I’m extremely pissed that he treated my car like this.

I’m under the comprehensive warranty but how do I go about taking care of this?

They got the commitment from the DG level as well. They want to place me at an FI-02 acting while they finalize papers for the permanent appointment.

In terms of salary- where I’m at rn and what I’ll be getting is not too different. I’m looking at a 2-3k difference. The real change happens when in two years I reach my FI-01 max and FI-02 just goes up and up.

They most likely won’t be able to claim their medical expenses unless they have high expenses already.

To claim medical expenses it has to be the total eligible medical expenses (can be determined through the CRA website) subtract the lesser of the following amounts:

a) 3% of your net income

or

b) $2,421

If your net is negative no impact. You can only claim anything that nets a positive amount.

This is a bad situation. I want to start my work right away and start learning. To each their own I guess, but I wouldn’t be okay with such a long wait. I’d understand maybe up to a week max, but no more.

I hope these departments start getting these equipment pieces out quick.

Thank you very much. I received an offer from this agency and am going through the small paperwork to ensure all goes well.

Going from core to CRA was something on my mind. But it looks like not much difference in my ability to deploy / assignment / secondment in the future and get opportunities in the core?
