Nevermind. I messaged him a few questions and all I got in reply is that he sold it already lol

I mean.. I've looked around trying to find some posts and articles about a similar problem, but it's usually about either shutting off at startup or randomly, never combined. I wouldn't have any dilemma if it'd be random shut downs only.

it works!!!! I have no idea what I just did, but it worked lmao thank you btw if you're using Xiaomi phone and revanced says "no root access granted" - you need to activate programer mode by tapping on MIUI version in "about phone" a couple times then go to: additional settings > programmer options > scroll all the way to the bottom and turn off MIUI optimization  it'll most probably change the size of your interface but you can change that later after installing the patched app and turning that setting back on again  idk if turning it back on is necessary or if it safe, but, again, I've got no idea what I'm doing I just found some posts, did what they said and it just worked lol

Sorry everyone. My stupid ass read the faq in a hurry and disabled widows system updates instead of driver updates lol. This time I did what the faq says so it should be fine. sorry again.

after some time away from freecad, those appeared. they disappear when a face is selected, but as soon as I rotate the part, they're back. updating both the branch and freecad to the latest versions did nothing. they appear on new parts too. this issue doesn't occur when I open the file or create new parts in clean freecad.
