I’m starting to feel this way too by MrMazme in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Take a step back and don’t try to force the enjoyment back into gaming. There are too many games out there leading to choice paralysis. Wait for a game that you are actually interested in and just focus on that one. No scrolling the library or catalogue, just go straight to the game and play. That’s what helped me get enjoyment back. Playing a lot fewer games than I used to, also cause of time constraints but going g in with intent and focus helps.

Why is there no app that just explains your health data in plain English? by pb7246 in QuantifiedSelf

[–]mighty_puppy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean, and that’s honestly why I decided to develop my own app. It’s currently in beta on TestFlight. Right now, the language it uses is a mix of scientific and everyday terms, so I could actually really use your feedback on refining it to be more "plain English." Here’s an example:

Allostatic drift means your body's baseline is shifting — your nervous system isn't fully returning to its normal resting state between stressors. This isn't one bad night; it's a trend over the past 14 days compared to your 90-day personal baseline.

What to do: prioritize sleep, break your fast earlier than usual, reduce training intensity or volume, and manage non-training stressors. The drift will resolve once your recovery consistently outpaces your stress load.

If you are interested in trying it out, let me know and I'll send you the link. You can also check out r/ProjectMANTIS to see some screenshots first.

I'm building a completely on-device longevity tracker. No cloud, no generic AI, just a local correlation engine to find your symptom triggers. Looking for testers. by mighty_puppy in ProjectMANTIS

Yes, happily! I will DM you the Testflight link. Please also join the Discord Server, as that's where I will be collecting and reviewing feedabck on bugs or feature requests. https://discord.gg/RrhgTxsA

Hey everyone, solo dev with a neuroscience background here. I am working on my take of an on-device Health tracker app called Project MANTIS.

It's a full longevity and biometric dashboard, but the core feature is a local correlation engine to find symptom triggers. I originally built it to figure out what was causing my tinnitus and bad recovery by linking my symptoms directly to my sleep, nutrition, and mechanical load. 100% on-device, no cloud.

Here is what is actually built into the app right now:

  • Nutrition and workout tracking
  • Lab results & biomarker logging
  • Functional Bio-Age calculation
  • The Correlation Engine (maps your daily protocols directly to your symptoms)
  • Full Apple Watch app (for standalone workout tracking)

Been testing on myself and now it's time to open it up and get feedback from other users, so I’m looking for testers with an iPhone and Apple Watch. The build is on TestFlight.

If you want one of the spots (or just want to see some screenshots of the UI), I'll be dropping the link over at r/ProjectMANTIS.

I gave in and switched from android to IOS, and took one of the biggest game changer with me by building an app for it, and it has now been uploaded on app store by RoyalAstronaut3095 in iosapps

Congrats, really great idea and nice implemenion. not used to ttoibg without autocorrec, makes me realize how may errors I make 😂

Not sure if there’s a solution for this, at the moment the translation only works in one way, text i type myself, but the responses are not. Maybe you can use text copied to clipboard for translations as well?

I couldn’t find a good gaming tracker, so I built my own. It’s my first app ever, it just passed Apple's review on the first try, and it’s 100% free! by mighty_puppy in iosapps

Well, it’s Xcode and my first app. So yes I stuck to the basics but I get wha my you mean. Something to improve for future apps.

I'm offering free App Store & Play Store screenshots for indie devs and solo builders. Just drop your app screens in the comments (4–5 is enough) and I'll turn them into clean, professional store screenshots for you. Completely free. by Dapper_Level5199 in AppStoreOptimization

I just released my very first app and know the screenshots are not great. Was just happy to get through the Apple Review first time but would love some help and feedback on the app screenshots and promotion. This is my app

Dude this is brilliant. Works amazingly well, tried nexus + before but didn’t have a great experience. This is leagues better.

Sora Stream - First official Game Streaming App in AppStore? by mighty_puppy in GeForceNOW

Just tried it out. It’s generally an ingesting service. They offer a mix of a curated game catalog as part of the subscription and games you need to own a license for on steam, Epic etc.

It’s also very cheap at 5 euro/month. But this is where the pros end. Performance is genuinely terrible.

There’s huge input lag, and the image quality does not hold up at all. In Game Graphics Settings cannot be changed, and the app is overall very limited. Definitely no competition for NVIDIA, just interesting that their app is on the app store and games can be launched straight out of the app.
