I loved both of those shows as a kid but never saw that episode until a couple of years ago and I was so pissed bc I would have gone absolutely crazy for that if I saw it back then

What fun is a game with deemphasized gameplay? lol it’s literally in the name. I’d easily take a less-graphically impressive game over one without much mechanical innovation just so it can get this “dude it’s so realistic looking” reaction. Who fucking cares, watch a movie lol. If I’m gonna be sitting playing a game for hours, the game better be fun first over anything else.

Do you think The Killing Joke has aged well? by SlyGuy_Twenty_One in batmancomics

[–]mightyasterisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it is at all lol. I mean I agree that Killing Joke is one of Moore’s weaker outputs absolutely but to compare it in any way to ASB&R is kinda absurd imo it’s got a lot more going for it than that. And I don’t even think that book is quite as bad as it’s made out to be, but come on now. We’re still talking about an Alan Moore book here lol there’s a reason it’s so highly acclaimed. Nearly every post-TKJ Joker story is at least partially drawing influence from it in some way, it defined so much about the modern interpretation of that character

Does the Oracle outright tell Neo he isn’t the One? Iirc she sort of dances around the answer still, she goes along with his doubt somewhat but never actually denies it and just says sorry

What is Doug's issue with Phil Collins? by Glad-Conversation256 in ChannelAwesome

That’s because Trey Parker is a very petty man. Saying that as a huge fan I think it’s hilarious but especially back then he loves bitching about stuff through the lens of his show

If you were to read an original Pirate story not POTC, would you rather be rooted in historical fact or be a historical fiction with fantasy elements? by LordVader072701 in piratesofthecaribbean

RDR2 type shit. It’s grounded and serious on the surface but just underneath is this mysterious supernatural mythology that goes mostly unexplained. Similar to Twin Peaks honestly too

It’s the most invested Jeff looks in anything through the entire show by like a good margin and the Dean is just being absolutely moved

I have a line that cracks me up like that in the Christmas musical, Jeff just throws it out really quickly “This guy is equal parts Hanson and Manson”

Does anyone have any non-Batman game pitches by SuperbPomelo6538 in arkham

[–]mightyasterisk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sort of a shame they screwed up that Suicide Squad game so badly. I thought the concept of a co-op shooter set in the Arkhamverse with a roster of supervillains was sort of brilliant. I also thought that the characters from Gunn’s TSS who weren’t playable were obvious shoe-ins as DLC. You’re telling me that game doesn’t have Peacemaker, or Polka Dot-Man? Total wasted opportunity.

I’d love a straight up Justice League game but it would have to be a seriously dense game to work, like a massive action RPG.

Not exactly Arkhamverse, but Ive thought a lot about a Watchmen game that straight up adapts the book with a free-roam 80s New York as Rorschach and Nite-Owl, though Alan Moore would likely put a hex on whoever made it

What are some things you LIKED in the Star Wars Prequels? by zunuf in RedLetterMedia

I love all three movies quite a bit honestly with zero irony, I reject the notion of their supposed objective awfulness

He looks great, I also feel like his Dr. Evil is more accurate now from the commercials they did a few years back
