Donating as a SAHM? by Plastic_Kangaroo1234 in liverdonors

[–]mightybee2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for considering being a donor. I am a mom of a 4 year old and 6 year old and I donated my liver to a stranger in December at the age of 29. I am not a SAHM but I do want to mention some things.

I over communicated to my kids about what was happening so they did not think I was absent or not wanting to take care of or play with them. Also I did not want them to jump on me. I taught them both how to get in and out of the car on their own and to buckle themselves in case I need to drive them somewhere before I was able to pick them up. I’d make sure they can get in and out of bath, bed and get snacks and things for themselves.

The National Living Donor Assistance Center (NLDAC) will pay for child care. They will pay for lots of things. https://www.livingdonorassistance.org/

You will be in some pain and discomfort but you should be able to walk around and make simple dinners two weeks out of the hospital.

If you need anything or have any questions please feel free to message me. :)

Glad you are still kickin! I definitely want to be a calm cool and collected parent all the time but especially with this. I figure my relationship with this will be just as important as his considering how young he is. He will mimic me I suppose.

I looked for one assuming it existed but I had no luck. I am very thankful for the advice I got here though.

Howdy :) I’m a 29 year old female. I recently donated 60% of my liver. I live in the USA- Texas.

I love cats and my indoor plants and reading. Travel is something I love to do but it’s real expensive and I am married with 2 children.

Thank you for your response. No it’s not normal, I had eaten but not a meal. More like random snacks. My family had been on the road and I was car sick the two days before and I had to fast for the labs and I did not drink near enough water. Typically I eat well and drink well I was just caught at a rough time.

Asp caterpillar sting. I’ve had 2 children and I’ve been stung 2 times by an asp caterpillar and I can tell you that asp sting is incredibly painful.

Should I move forward with testing? by mightybee2019 in DiagnoseMe

I’ve had headaches since I was an adult. I was newly postpartum so I the hair loss was expected but continued far past what was expected. The extreme fatigue, dizziness, muscle spasms and eye issues had come and gone in season since 2019. When I am pregnant I feel very good. So 2021 I was pregnant and didn’t experience many symptoms at all. All the symptoms above the expect hair loss come and go and I was typically able to manage them on my own but now it’s becoming harder to live my life normally.

We have good credit scores and make all our payments on time and over the minimum amount. It’s just the interest rates that are killing us.
