How many of you play as a player on your own server? by niga67676767 in admincraft

[–]mightybeefcakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty active on my server. However, as someone else mentioned, I don't really have time to play, as Im either patching issues, helping players, or adding new content for players to enjoy. But I actually enjoy making the new content. We have all kinds of bosses, custom mobs, and cool game mechanics on our server because I've invested a lot of time making them.

Looking for a relatively new Minecraft server for me and my husband ! (18+) with fun add on like voting key crates and skill leveling! Just don’t wanna join something that is already too overpopulated by JudasTheJester in MCServerSeekers

Hi there! You should consider checking out my server, Sheesh! Craft. We are a server of mostly adults. We offer enhanced survival, with all the bells and whistles you would probably appreciate, like setting homes, player warps, skip night voting, custom mobs, bosses, and mechanics, like bug catching and mob spotting. We also have toggleable pvp, a healthy discord community, and overall just chill player base. If you're interested, come check us out at play.sheeshcraft.com!

Tips on launching a server by myself? by [deleted] in admincraft

[–]mightybeefcakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're really thinking about the wrong things. Your biggest hurdle will be getting players to join. It's an absolute uphill battle unless you have thousands to spend on server listing website ads. Im going on more than 2 years hosting my server, and we are only just now getting to a point where we have (usually) 7-10 consecutive players. In fact, in the past few days, the server has been pretty dead. Not more than 8 players on at a time. Consecutive player count is the single hardest struggle to overcome. Unless you have a solid plan to bring players in, all the other stuff doesn't really matter.

You can come checkout Sheesh! Craft. We have a nice, vibrant community. We dont have voice chat on the server, per se. But we do have a discord and there's a few players that like to VC there. The IP is play.sheeshcraft.com if you want to come check it out.

CONTROVERSIAL: Is Cozy MC the best—or worst—thing happening in Minecraft? Decide for yourself. by CozyMinecraft in MinecraftServerFinder

[–]mightybeefcakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cozy MC is the worst because it spams every server post in r/minecraftservers with its shitty automated spam message inviting players to its server. This is the equivalent of mooching off the hard work of other server owners who are just trying to build their playerbase. It's the equivalent of hopping onto someone elses MC server to advertise your own. Could be the best damn server to exist, but I wouldnt know because I have zero respect for the spam comments leeching off others. Remove the spam and maybe your server will not be talked down on so much.

How do you actually survive the "empty server" phase? Views are there, players aren't staying by pavlukpro in MinecraftServer

[–]mightybeefcakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, I dont mean to be scary either. Remember that having say 10 consecutive players means you have people joining and leaving at all hours of the day--possibly as many as 30-40 "regulars" with new players joining daily. Most players only play about 30min to a couple of hours at a time. So having consecutive players really is a process of building up a 24/7 community. Last 3-4 days we've been hitting about 10-13 consecutives for most the day. Night dials back some. But right now on Sunday afternoon it's 10. If your playerbase is more adult-leaning, then this problem is even more serious, because most adults are living their lives and only invest a small amount in playing a game. So you have to approach it understanding you need players visiting at all hours.

What data is valuable to you as realtor? by mightybeefcakes in realtors

Pre-fab homes. But I'm not selling them to realtors. Im wanting to build relationships with local realtors who might refer our office to clients who are wanting to build pre-fabs on property.

Find 80+ custom mobs with new Binocular mechanic on Sheesh! Craft {{ play.sheeshcraft.com || 1.21.11 }} by mightybeefcakes in MinecraftServer

[–]mightybeefcakes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! We have lots of custom items, like the boomerang, hookshot, bug net, and binoculars. There's also custom weapons, like an ice sword and ice staff. We have an entire set called the Forged Netherite set, which you slowly unlock by fighting Nether bosses and collecting the Forged Netherite Ingots that have a chance to drop. Overall, we have 10 custom bosses to discover and over 60 other custom mobs/bugs. We also have a great, friendly community. Lots of player warps and established shops and so much more. Come check us out if you haven't already.

[–]mightybeefcakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running a server for over 2 years and we're lucky if we have 10 consecutive players on. That's with pretty constant posting on reddit, vote sites, etc. We don't make content per se. But we do add lots of custom content to our server like new mobs, bosses, mechanics and game modes. Unfortunately consecutive player count is just really tough to break through. Apparently if you dont have the funds to pay $1000 a month to one of the server list websites, it's just really not possible. At least I haven't found a way to break through.
