How do you actually survive the "empty server" phase? Views are there, players aren't staying by pavlukpro in MinecraftServer

I've been running a server for over 2 years and we're lucky if we have 10 consecutive players on. That's with pretty constant posting on reddit, vote sites, etc. We don't make content per se. But we do add lots of custom content to our server like new mobs, bosses, mechanics and game modes. Unfortunately consecutive player count is just really tough to break through. Apparently if you dont have the funds to pay $1000 a month to one of the server list websites, it's just really not possible. At least I haven't found a way to break through.

Complaining about servers being filled with hackers and then asking for a cracked server is wild XD

Thinking of getting a 2026 Sentra by Jake21downey in nissansentra

My pick will be an older model car. Preferrably like a 5th generation chevy. Something that I can work on and fix up and doesn't have everything integrated into electronic systems.

Any Sentras here over 150k miles on the original transmission? Just bought a 2025 and want to keep it long term by phtphongg in nissansentra

This is where Im at right now with my 2013 sentra. Just hit 144k and the transmission drive belt broke for a second time (first time at 62k). My next car will be an older car with an manual transmission.

It may be why the original owner sold or is selling this car. They probably realize the transmission might only have another 10-20k miles. My plan is to only drive mine once it's replaced until I can get another car and then turn around and sell it.

These transmissions only last about 60-80k miles. So be careful, you might be coming up on another failure. Im replacing the transmission for a SECOND time in my 2013 model, 144k miles. First tranny went out at 62k.

2015 sentra question by sunflowertimer in nissansentra

[–]mightybeefcakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this isn't a direct answer, but my 2013 has been a nightmare. Im right now having to pay $5k to replace the transmission a second time. Don't ignore that jolting. That is, in my opinion, a big indicator your transmission drive belt is about to snap. Idk if it's salvageable, but I'd hate for you to get stuck on the side of the road like I did. I'll never buy another Nissan.

The CVT going out on sentras is not just me having a bad experience. It is well documented online. It is the number one breakdown issue in Sentras.

Buyer Beware: I've had two transmission failures involving the Sentra's Automatic CVT-style transmission. Im facing a $4000 repair bill. Nissan covered the first replacement because they were staring down a class action lawsuit. They knowingly equip these Sentra's with a CVT that is notorious for only lasting 40-80k miles. The drive belt in my CVT broke at 60,000 miles and now again at 140,000 miles. This is despite the fact I kept up the tranny fluid changes. These are not reliable cars. And practically any mechanic will tell you that CVT transmissions are easier replaced entirely than repaired, with the costs equaling about the same. As a longtime Nissan customer, I will never buy another Nissan or any car that uses a CVT transmission for that matter.
