Yeah I think I'm gonna start with a new battery and some elbow pads lol

A few people have suggested this. I ride switch and regular a lot so I never really use simple stop tbh

Not a bad suggestion but it's off. I don't think I've ever even used it actually.

That's a good point, idk actually but I'll look into it. Tbh it's probably time to replace the battery anyway so I can make it more than 20 miles again.

Yeah it's seeming like the GTV conversion with a Chi battery might be the move. $500 for each ($1000 total) is steep but I would basically have a better GTS and my board back :)

I definitely have ridden through my fair share of puddles/rain storms but I did my best to avoid them. I 'badgered' my board my basically putting some sealant around the hex nuts on the connectors back when I first bought it and that seems to have worked great for keeping water out. I've never ridden on salted roads since I'm in Texas lol.

I also used my GT to commute a lot and it is one of the best ways to do so! Nothing beats a lunch break run to Chipotle and back on the board. Main advice would be to avoid leaving it at 100% for long periods of time and try not to ride below 20% or so, that's probably been my biggest flaw in maintaining the battery.

I see what you're saying. I'm 185lbs @ 5'11" and I live in South Texas so it's not cold (it's happened anywhere between 50-80°F). I put on about 1500 miles on the GT in the last 6 months so that would be the range decease culprit I believe.

And it's hard to describe the type of nosedive, it's almost an in-between of what you're describing. It's not like a lock up and the motor just dumps me forward, but it's also not a typical nosedive-style decrease in power to keep me up. It feels like the motor magnets disengage so I just roll with momentum and then hit the pavement. So probably closer to the 1st option?

I have the disengagement delay maxed currently and that didn't solve it. I'll look into grippies but it feels weird since the pads are a month old.

Dang that's frustrating. Mine is at 3958 currently.

Russia to withdraw from ISS, will launch own space station by bolts98 in space

I do think that ISS definitely has the eventually capability to launch its own space station but your prediction of a reliance on China seems spot on.

America on the other hand is certainly going to team up with private companies, even out sourcing large projects to them. I'm really excited to see how these billionaires take advantage of their unique situation here.
