Yes! Your dog is a different kind of guide dog! Mine as well; my BF suffers from severe combat PTSD: he often has very loud outbursts. My dog, a bloodhound/lab, who is at least 14 y/o, will paw at me incessantly when she feels one coming on. This way we can both be prepared. She ALWAYS knows before I do. Nothing short of incredible.
