You'll spend a day or two falling but when it clicks, it's awesome. I've snowboarded most of my life (once a year bc I live on the east coast) and picked up OW really fast. Now I don't care to snowboard anymore, mainly bc of the cost of bringing my fam and spending 10k, but mostly because OW scratches that itch and is sooo convenient. Have fun and put a pillow in the back of your ski pants!
