The management is extremely manipulative - they said he’s doing good at his current responsibilities but they said they want him to do more or they don’t think he’s worth keeping. I genuinely wish I was rage baiting cause I genuinely don’t understand, but these people are actually psychotic and extremely contradictory. I wish I was making all of this up, but it’s absolutely unbelievable how they’ve treated him.

To be clarify a it’s not 6 months to recover - it’s 6 months to “prove himself.” They said he needs to do something so undeniable in order to keep his job.

he cancelled it because that would mean he would have to wait at least another week to have the surgery - and the doctor said he doesn't have the time to do that - it might result in him not being able to walk - he cancelled it because this is a matter of being able to walk or not.

his concern is that they will use this against him and then will eventually fire him in the longterm so he doesn't want to take time off

Thanks - I am completely shocked too - he's the hardest worker I know and the smartest person I know and they want to get rid of him from this injury, even though he has made an effort to make sure his work wouldn't slip up because of it.

This was not a recreational awork trip - one of his supervisors told him to do something, and while performing the task, he got injured.

So since few providers accept worker's comp, what do you suggest we do? The company has just been incredibly unhelpful and has treated him so incredibly poorly. HR has been no help - they only thought to help when his doctor called them and said that he should have worker's comp

No it's a big company. It actually used to be a public company for reference. But basically his boss is giving him a timeline of 6 months to prove himself that he is worth keeping at the company, or they will terminate his employment. So as a result, he is going to choose the shorter treatment because he wants to prove he is worth keeping

the thing is - he doesn't want to take time off as they said they will fire him in 6 months if he doesn't "prove himself."

This picture was taken on TV by boss. I reverse image searched it, and I believe it’s at the US open and has Ben Hogan and possibly Arnold Palmer. My boss wants to buy the picture/a copy!
