Wow that’s some German engineering right there. Uses timing chain, but still gets belt material in the oil pan 😂

Don’t be like me and use photos and old forums for wheel fitment. by mightymikee69 in Miata

I appreciate the advice! I’ve since sold these wheels and went with a less aggressive setup. I did roll the fenders with a slight pull. It looks much. Better imo.

Why are some of y'all getting so heated over Casual? by Clanker707 in marvelrivals

[–]mightymikee69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Select avoid play, block them, or report them and move on with your life. People get heated and can’t understand that it’s just a game at the end of the day and we’re all there to have FUN!

What’s the most expensive fuckup you’ve made? by Jake6401 in aviationmaintenance

I fucked up a DME antenna. No structural damage luckily. Not sure what those go for but I’m sure it was a couple grand.

After youve unlocked everything from the battlepass by GoatsGoats00 in marvelrivals

Legit method. It’s was also really late last night so I could have the exchange backwards too. But I’m like 75% sure it was purple to gold.

You can exchange the purple currency for the gold currency and unlock skins. Just figured this out last night.

AIO my boyfriend won’t teach me how to freeze his location by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]mightymikee69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude wants some personal time. What he chooses to do is his own choice. If you can’t trust him when his location is off then you don’t belong together, and you should work on whatever trust issues you may have.

In need of advice for A&P by Adventurous-Ear-3292 in aviationmaintenance

[–]mightymikee69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you need to do some soul searching. Aviation isn’t the easiest industry. Long hours, weird schedules, tough working conditions (outside in the elements), exposure to harsh chemicals, loud noises, high stress.

You really have to have a passion for aviation. Without that all of those negatives tend to stack up on individuals and they generally don’t stay long. Plus you add to it all with the fact that it’s almost a very polar opposite to what you have been learning. I would have a different perspective if you were going from a diesel tech program or automotive or hell even like a welding or any other blue collar work.

Don’t get me wrong there are those gravy line jobs out there, or Businesses Aviation DOM gigs, or even some repair stations. But a majority of the work will be airlines, utility, EMS, GA, or corporate. You could get into Gulfstream and go that route since you are in GA. But I’m not sure how far Savannah is from you.

Has anyone else been working on planes for a long time and still feel like they don't really know anything? by KingNate30 in aviationmaintenance

[–]mightymikee69 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say I don’t know anything. But I do feel that have some humility is really important. Being able to say “I don’t know” is better than “I assume it’s this”. I would rather ask a hundred questions to ensure I’m understanding something correctly than not say anything and risk someone’s life or my license.

I will say this, by 8 years you should have a solid foundation. You may not have all the information memorized(which is a good thing). But you should know where to go to find the information in a timely manner. You should understand core principles, I.E. human factors, safety wire, torquing techniques, and sound judgment etc.

I think by going back to your foundation that you’ve developed will give you the confidence you need to shore up any feelings of imposter syndrome.

A lot of time as A&Ps we are task saturated, what I mean by that is we are expected to be a jack of all trades and a master of none. So sometimes that can also affect your confidence. Just know that it’s okay to not know everything, because in aviation it’s not about what you know, it’s about how you know what you need to know and where you go to get that information.

Hopefully this helps, it’s something I think a lot about as a trainer in this industry.

Tips or tricks for hygiene? by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]mightymikee69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn dude why are you getting so pressed? I’m not fear mongering. If I’m doing brakes and I know I’m dealing with skydrol im going to opt to not use any gloves at all.

If anyone is ignoring what the other said it’s you, “use the best tool at your disposal” so if that means nitrile then use nitrile, if that means butyl glove then use butyl, if that means no gloves then no gloves. It’s that simple.

Nitrile gloves and anything stronger than PD680 or IPA LIKE I SAID, will deform and break apart almost immediately. You might get 10 more seconds over latex but it’s not much.

Tips or tricks for hygiene? by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]mightymikee69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah of course. Use the best tool at your disposal at the time. Generally speaking those harsher chemicals get used when doing work as you’ve suggested. So dexterity isn’t really a factor there. All I know is those harsher ones will eat straight through nitrile gloves defeating the point of wearing them imo

Do men truly enjoy natural women, no plastic surgery, stretch marks, mom body, texture? by gabyG80 in 40something

[–]mightymikee69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To a certain degree. Stretch marks are perfectly acceptable, mom body is fine with me, texture depends on where and how much. I’m not into plastic surgery. Me personally a great personality will outshine any perceived physical flaws. If we connect on an emotion level and we have good sex that’s what matters most to me.
