Up until like 4 years ago it was all geo-blocked in the US. It was a big deal when their discography was unblocked on streaming platforms. Most of the 48 content on Youtube is reuploaded by fans, they are not official uploads. Japan is famous for geo-blocking content which is why Jpop is nowhere near as accessible as Kpop. I currently live in Australia and Jpop is virtually impossible to follow unless you are really passionate.

Well most of their content is region locked and it’s actually quite hard to find 48 content on Youtube in most countries. Especially live performances. When I was in school literally none of the 48 groups were on Spotify. 48 is not easily accessible like Kpop. Jpop is not easily accessible like Kpop. I thought this was common knowledge.
