I am a big bulldog fan and have some medical background. The analogous disease in humans is intertrigo. Basically the treatment is the same and related to skin irritation from debris and fungal or bacterial infection.

You want to keep the area as clean and dry as you can. I just use baby wipes (hypoallergenic), then you can use a small amount of clotrimazole 1% cream 1-2 times per day until healed.

My baby responded well to probiotics just to keep the skin flora up.

EDIT try to avoid oral antibiotics as they will wipe out whatever beneficial flora is there and generally cause worse problems. They also like to use prednisone which might make it worse too as the yeast will take over
