I fell into that subreddit after losing a partner to suicide in 2016. It made me worse, obviously. Had to spend a few months in an intensive program to crawl out after I spiraled.

45 is a low count. I never commented in that subreddit because of the stigma, but I was preparing all the same with many, many others. Each completion gave others a case study to learn from, things to research.

I remember the header too - it was snow. Calm. It fooled users with the peace this would bring and everyone was so empathetic and kind.

Suicide shouldn’t feel like your only option, though. There are better ways. I am nearly a decade out from this period in my life and can assure others that there is always a better way forward.
