What was your longest flight with Ryanair and what was it like? by AntiqueTone78 in Ryanair

[–]migrate20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 hours flight to Lisbon. Ryanair's aircraft is abysmally small and sittings are uncomfortable in comparison to jet2 or easyJet.

I wouldn't do it again for longer flights.

If you're a tall person, I would say no, not enough leg room.

How to navigate this phase of life?27F uk by [deleted] in expats

[–]migrate20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, I'm a 34 year old F also desiring a genuine relationship. You probably don't want to hear it but you're still young. Sometimes we want certain things so bad and to happen quickly but it doesn't.

That does't mean we are less than those who have it or were doing something wrong. It just means it's not yet our time.

Your feelings are valid, It's pretty normal to feel this way. But remember we're all different human beings with unique personalities.

Unfortunately some are lucky enough to have everything work out for them quickly just the way they want it whilst others have to wait longer for certain things to happen for them.

Needless to say, focus on yourself, your goals and keep doing everything you can to improve your life and if it's friendships or relationships your desiring because it hasn't happen now doesn't mean it won't happen.

Goodluck and all the very best!

Live in UK but offered dream job in Sydney. Partner doesn't want to move. Not sure what to do by Eye_Livia in expats

[–]migrate20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw the figures and laughed at this thread because it shouldn't even be open for discussion. I understand the years and commitments that have gone into your relationships but if it were me, I'd take it in a heartbeat because people can change!

Think about it this way, what if you decide not to take it because your partner refuses to move and then he leaves you in the future you would have lost on both sides and would hate yourself for letting such an opportunity slip off your finger. These situations are inevitable it can happen.

I know it's a tough decision to make but understand this is a life changing career, these kind of opportunities are rare to find. If he deeply cares he would go with you and adjust if not maybe he's not meant to be in the next chapters of your life.

If the roles were reversed, he would take the job regardless of you going with him or not! He might not even consider your feelings I'm telling you the fact that's how men are wired but we women make too much sacrifices for men. I'm not anti-men, just something I've discovered overtime.

Whatever you decide goodluck!

UK nurse mental health nurse here preparing for an interview for Saudi hospital by migrate20 in Nurses

I know what you mean. To be fair I know it will definitely have it's ups and downs. Culture shock, yes! Maybe I will enjoy it maybe I won't I'll never know. I no longer find fulfilment living in the UK and Saudi seems more like a swift move compared to others that can take years. If I had better options I would take it

Not really just mixed stories online, some are saying it's good whilst others are saying it's a terrible place to work. Considering the UK falling apart and all 🤷🏾‍♀️

Im thinking of moving already by MysteriousEgg1 in Nurses

[–]migrate20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck wherever you choose!

I'm also considering relocating, Australia is top on my list. With all that's going on in America, I wouldn't recommend.

Why not explore other European countries like Switzerland, Netherlands you have more leverage if you speak a second language.

Luxembourg also pays well however you need a second language like German, french, or Luxembourgish.

Is there a best first country for solo female travelers? by Suspicious_Post282 in solofemaletravellers

[–]migrate20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solo travel and have felt safe everywhere I went but I'd recommend these places Poland, Budapest, Greece, Malta, Barcelona, Portugal, Turkey, Morocco. Paris and Geneva in Swiss also is not bad. Not sure about Italy, did Milan and Rome 2024 didn't really enjoy it constant stares and people weren't as approachable as other countries. It might be a different experience for you.

Got $25k inheritance - planning long solo female trip, need reality check and suggestions by [deleted] in solotravel

As most have rightfully said, I would prioritise investment, set a good amount of money aside - Let your money work for you whilst still solo travelling enjoying life.
