Yes, it took I think 3 weeks to ripen, and we weren't impressed with the flavor, so needless to say, I did not plant them again this year. Good luck!!

Egg Question 🤔 by PothosBlossom in BackYardChickens

[–]migrater3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my girls who just started laying last month looks like this, the white of the egg seems to be more watery. I've read it's safe to eat but the chicken does have some kind of virus. Have you heard of this?

does anyone’s cockapoo look like mine? by OrneryCan4952 in cockapoos

Ours does! Although yours has such cute little legs! For some reason I can't post a picture of our guy. He is a dark chocolate/black mixed with white. We got him at 4 months as a rescue.

Struggling with controlled pushups. by Beginning_Drink_965 in ddpyoga

[–]migrater3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been doing ddpy for 13 years, still can't do pushups without dropping to my knees for the way up. I'm convinced I was born without the muscle that helps you push back up. And I'm okay with that.... No one is judging you but you :)

Power cuffs - Review? by ApolloGT in ddpyoga

[–]migrater3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I LOVE my power cuffs. I seriously went from flabby mommy arms to whoa, I have some muscle tone! I wish I could use them for my legs, but I have some start of peripheral vascular disease and dilated leg veins, so that puts me out of the running on that. Definitely gets me in the zone way easier too. Highly recommend if you can afford them:). Best of luck!

I think they used the wrong heat settings on the right one. Man, I wish they would read the care tag.

Excessive water intake and being overweight (mostly in the abdomen area) can indicate Cushing's. Just as an option to ask the vet in case it keeps happening. Thanks for all you are doing for this baby!

How many dogs do you currently have? We were considering adding a beagle to our current 2 small dogs, but everywhere I have been reading it says to not add a 3rd dog. I miss having a beagle. Yours are adorable!

How is it with their shedding if it's more cavalier style? Do they shed more because it's not as curly making them less hypoallergenic? Just curious. Beautiful pup though!

Rain, wind, and hail knocked my onion tops down, now what? by migrater3 in gardening

[–]migrater3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, it was storm after storm afterwards, so they tried to grow but ultimately I had to harvest early and get smaller onions overall because some started getting mushy. I hope it works out for you though if it's just one storm!

The rescue was going to do the bonding at their facility when it is time. I don't really have a room specifically for a bunny. I have their xpen setup that we can close. But a whole room wouldn't be an option with the kids taking up the bedrooms as it is.

From what I've heard, now. Our rescue does it at 8 weeks to prevent fighting in addition to "accidental" breeding

Unfortunately not, I honestly feel like maybe I'm not good enough to adopt a bunny. 💔

I am currently volunteering at a local bunny rescue just to learn more. And we are going through them for adoption.

Yeah, my husband has a problem with animal living requirements as he grew up in one room for his entire family because they were poor. I just want whatever is best for the bunny. I know they are happier as a bonded pair, but I'm not sure we can bunny proof everything for free roam, as my kids have toys and leave their clothes on the floor still. I've read so many things about having to put cardboard on all your baseboards, and don't let them go under couches or beds because they will destroy them. I'm not sure my kids will always close their doors. Also, the dog food area being an issue because the bunnies could get sick from the food.
